We were lucky to catch up with Hannah Hughes recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Hannah, thanks for joining us today. What’s been the best thing you’ve ever seen (or done yourself) to show a customer that you appreciate them?
I have always valued excellent customer service. I’ve also just always loved encouraging people and giving gifts. So when I started my podcast, I decided from the beginning that I wanted to be intentional about appreciating and honoring my guests. After every interview, I send my guest a hand-written note with a gift card in the mail and I’ve gotten nothing but positive feedback about how special and personal this gesture has made the experience.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I have always loved writing, learning, and teaching. When I was 19, I self published my first book. Since then, I’ve published two others and shared my personal story of overcoming mental health struggles and trauma. Now I host a podcast for women that’s all about embracing our stories and discovering the purpose right here in the middle of the process. I love helping women find vision for their lives, set goals, and pursue their dreams with confidence!
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
The main mission that drives me is twofold: I want to be able to help as many women as I can discover their purpose and live fulfilling, meaningful lives. I also want to spread awareness and make a difference in the fight against human trafficking. I love that I get to use my social media and podcast as a platform to do both of those things!
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Collaboration is key! I truly think that there is no better way to grow and find more of your people than to partner with others whose vision/mission is aligned with yours and get in front of their audience (and vice versa, for their growth). Fostering a culture of community and collaboration over comparison draws people in like nothing else.
