Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Hannah Hester. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hannah, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. So, let’s start with trends – what are some of the largest or more impactful trends you are seeing in the industry?
I am excited for the future of both breaking tradition but also *choosing* to do something because it resonates with you as a couple and your story vs just because someone told you, you “had to do it”. I love the new ideas that are circulating, cutting boutonnieres and simplifying to the details you really want. This and the many ways we can make the day more personable. I feel like this generation getting married does what they love & cuts what they don’t and I love seeing that come to light in the wedding industry. I also love the revival of old trends (as it always goes), vintage cakes, colorful tuxes and tulle in new light! I am excited to see what else we have coming up soon!

Hannah, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am a eleven year wedding veteran who had a dream to take care of couples on their biggest day so I left my school, roommates, scholarships and all and moved to Houston to go to the Hilton College for Hospitality and obtain my Bachelor in Hospitality and certifications in wedding planning. I am a passionate person who loves to problem solve and I think fast on my feet, this job was made for me! My favorite part has always been the people we meet along the way & the connections made. We know we are blessed to be a part of this special day in people’s lives. We offer Wedding Planning, Design, & Coordination in Texas (largely in Houston, Austin, & Galveston). We spend a lot of time getting to know our couples and truly believe the lasting relationships we make are because we care about each couple and each story as if it were our own.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
I feel as though I have always been an artist and wasn’t sure where my place was. I have danced, sang, acted, learned instruments, etc but this …this is how I have been able to express myself. Bringing something to light that lives in your head and seeing the excitement from the couples both in the process and on the big day is life fulfilling. My advise would be, everyone has a place just keeping working to find yours!

How did you build your audience on social media?
I think people overthink social media, as perfectionists for sure. People, like in life really, just want to see you show up! They want to see a little into your life (both personal & business) and how you operate. A look behind the veil of something they may never do! Show them how you operate and how you handle owning a company while also living a life. Show them the ups and the downs & be honest.
