Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Hannah Achille . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Hannah, thanks for joining us today. Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?
Vanity Hearts Beauty came to me at a time where I was still working for other employers; my vision still developing. The “Vanity” comes from vanity table, where I spent a lot of time practicing and creating looks. I put a lot of heart and soul into my work and the connections I build with my clients so that’s where the “Hearts” comes in. Then we have beauty to tie everything together, and there you have it; Vanity Hearts Beauty.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Concentrating my energy into my own brand and business has been rewarding professionally and personally. I love creating a space where people can feel comfortable, authentic, confident and beautiful.
With nearly 10 years in the beauty industry, I have learned many different things and continue expand my service list, sharpen my craft and continue growing.
I specialize in event and bridal makeup as well as natural nail services and nail art. I also do brow shaping and laminations as well as lash lift services.
I really enjoy being able to do a complete transformation from head to toe. I love that my clients trust me to do so.
I started my career working in a blow dry bar as a makeup artist, then shortly after, expanding my skill to do hair; blowouts and styles. My career grew with the hard work I put in, I started teaching makeup classes. Found even more love for helping people feel comfortable with a brush in their hand. After a while, I found myself wanting to lean into more of what the beauty industry had to offer. I got into doing nails; something I had always enjoyed but didn’t get to do much of in school.
These days, you’ll find me in my little studio creating intricate nail designs over structured gel manicures while chatting away with my clients about life.
I absolutely adore that my career brings people together through connection.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Aside from hard work and being available, the thing that helped me build my clientele most has been word of mouth and referrals. You kind of find people you vibe most with that way, and have a better idea of the personality that’s going to walk though your door. Another way I have grown clientele is networking with other artists in the industry, building professional connections, working on projects or collaborative ideas together.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Being more present on social media and creating content has been a great way to bring in some new faces as well as let the world see what you’re up to. Whether you’re putting out there yourself, or hiring somebody to do it for you, I have found that it has taken some stress off of my plate and keeps the world in the know.
