Hi Hanna, thanks for joining us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?

Growing up I loved fashion. I loved dressing up and dressing my sister up as well. My Mom used to say, “do what you love,” so I said, “if I love fashion and styling people then I should open a business for custom dresses and alterations!”

ABH Designs-Alterations by Hanna Fahmy is my personal business that I started in hopes of providing any bride with my 14+ years experience in tailoring and alterations with the perfect dress for any occasion at an affordable price perfect for them! I am an alterations expert with over 30 years experience in the industry. I have worked with brides in New York, New Jersey, Virginia, Tennessee, and more.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?

Word of mouth and a good reputation built over my years working in this business.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

Working with local businesses in Clarksville such as Wedding Bells. As well as many locally owned boutiques in Middle Tennessee.
