We recently connected with Haneen Yahya and have shared our conversation below.
Haneen, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Coming up with the idea is so exciting, but then comes the hard part – executing. Too often the media ignores the execution part and goes from idea to success, skipping over the nitty, gritty details of executing in the early days. We think that’s a disservice both to the entrepreneurs who built something amazing as well as the public who isn’t getting a realistic picture of what it takes to succeed. So, we’d really appreciate if you could open up about your execution story – how did you go from idea to execution?
It started when we bought our first house and we were looking for furniture. I realized that quality of the furniture in the market is not great. So I started looking for alternatives , thats when the idea of flipping furniture occurred to me. Then after working on many furniture pieces for my personal use I realized that there is a market for furniture flipping.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am a furniture flipper and a licensed home stager. I restore old pieces for both profit and enjoyment . I stumbled into furniture flipping when I was looking for furniture for my new house.
I felt that most of the new furniture doesn’t have a good quality and lacks any character. . So I started flipping my old furniture, a dining table was my first project.
I was very happy with the final product so I decided to buy old furniture and flip it for my own house and also as a side business.
As I was working on the furniture for my house, I realized that furniture flipping is a highly creative endeavor. Flippers need to envision how they can transform a piece of furniture and give it a unique and appealing appearance. This involves selecting colors, patterns, textures, and materials that work harmoniously together to create a visually striking results that makes my clients satisfied with the service. Furniture flipping requires the application of various techniques so I took some furniture design courses at North Bennet School of art the I decided to pursue a degree in Furniture Design in Massachusetts college of Art and Design.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
the key is to find furniture that has good bones and potential but may need some repairs, finishing, or updating. Furniture flipping involves understanding the science behind various refurbishing techniques. This includes knowledge of wood types, finishes, adhesives, and paint materials, ensuring that the furniture is structurally sound and aesthetically pleasing. It also involves researching the market to understand current trends, popular styles, and customer preferences. This data-driven analysis helps me identify what types of furniture are in demand and what potential buyers are willing to pay..
I track sales, expenses, and customer feedback. Analyzing this data helps me identify patterns, optimize my flipping process, and make informed decisions for future projects. Customer satisfaction is my number one priority.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
