We were lucky to catch up with Halley Zadeyan recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Halley thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. In our experience, overnight success is usually the result of years of hard work laying the foundation for success, but unfortunately, it’s exactly this part of the story that most of the media ignores. So, we’d appreciate if you could open up about your growth story and the nitty, gritty details that went into scaling up.
I have been in the business for four years, and half of that was over covid. While everyone was at home, I was out touring and shooting content at vacant listings and using social media to build my clientele. I had many closings over covid where I had not even met my clients until the closing table, as I had used face-time to show them homes. I feel that I had to get creative starting out, and that energy has translated into how I run my business day to day. The market is always shifting, and so as a Realtor you have to be open and dynamic. Being creative from the get-go, laid the foundation of how I run my business. I have since moved from a team to start my own business, and maybe one day grow a small team.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My background in sales and marketing was a natural segue into my career as a broker, and transitioning into the realm of real estate. I utilize my love for design to guide clients, and helping them to visualize the future layout of a home, and to understand the long-term return on investment.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I would say I am well-known for confidence in negotiating. Consistency is key, and I love to constantly go above and beyond for my clients, ensuring their needs are met, and that they are comfortable with a deal. My passion for design, renovation and new construction allows me to connect with my clients, and glean trust long after the transaction has closed.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
This is two-fold. It is nurturing past client relationships, and garnering referrals from those past client’s families and friends. Also using social media to reach clients out of state who are wanting to move to Colorado.
