Half Hour Late, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
All our projects are centralized around a common theme; “If there’s a will, there’s a way”… The release of our single “Gettin’ By” set the stage for a music video that was to be shot in Slab City, CA. This musical record captures the story of our band accurately… Our gang of oceanic outlaws put together an A-list crew for this representation of life as a music pirate. The process of dealing with 12 team members, digging vans out of the mud/sand at any turn, and navigating this Mad Max style wasteland reinforced our “we can do anything” attitude…

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Half Hour Late is more than a band, its a lifestyle. The root of this operation is friendship and the creation of original sounds for everyones listening pleasure. San Diego is burdened with beauty, the people, the beaches, the music. There is inspiration lurking around every corner here. Naturally our group formed over surf sessions, climbing trips, long road trips in the van and the ultimate love for awesome music. We want people to know that Half Hour Late is an experience, a freight train. All Aboard…
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
There’s so many things we could think of, but getting do what we love and, having the opportunity to be creative for a living is at the top of the list. Amongst many other things, rocking out on a stage for thousands isn’t bad either.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Seeing the world through the lens of music.
