We were lucky to catch up with Haley Wrisinger recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Haley, thanks for joining us today. We love heartwarming stories – do you have a heartwarming story from your career to share?
Laura reached out to our office because she was experiencing fertility struggles for the past few years and heard that chiropractic could help. Through discussion, we found that Lauras nervous system was experiencing dysregulation and needed balanced. Once her nervous system began to find ease, the other symptoms her body experienced decreased and she fell pregnant with her sweet son, Beau. Caring for Laura preconception, then while she was pregnant, and into her postpartum with Beau was truly a blessing. In chiropractic we say, “expect miracles” and Beau’s first adjustment is something I hold near to my heart because he is a tiny little miracle.
Haley, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am a chiropractor who specializes in prenatal, pediatric, and family wellness which basically means I have the best job in the whole entire world. I get to help people unlock their true healing potential and see miracles happen every day. What sets me apart from other chiropractors is that we have INSiGHT Scans that allow us to see exactly what your nervous system is experiencing which allows us to come up with a plan of action to get your nervous system recharged and back doing the things you love.
Something I am most proud of is creating an office that has a family atmosphere. I love seeing our families connect with each other while they are waiting for their adjustments and seeing the kids connect over the toys. Our office is very home-y and I believe it helps the kiddos we see to feel excited for their visits because they know we have designed our office for them. They also love that they get a sticker when they are done with their adjustment.
Have you ever had to pivot?
I recently had my first child, Brooks, in December 2022. This has caused me as a business owner to consider my hours in my office because the majority of my patients come in the morning and in the evenings which causes us to have a long lunch break. This has created some challenges for me because I have very long days which requires me to have more time away from my son.
Because of this, I recently shifted some of my hours so I would have more evenings free and some later morning starts, which will allow me to show up as the mother my son needs me to be. I am thankful I own my own business and have the flexibility to choose my own schedule.
Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
My favorite book is The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry. This book opened my eyes to realize there is nothing more important than slowing down and enjoying your life right now. It is cliche that we truly do not know how many days we have left on earth and I don’t want to waste my life working myself into the ground to achieve a business style that doesn’t fit me and my families needs. I choose to create a life where I work only 4 days a week and limited hours so I can still enjoy life and take care of myself.
