We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Haley Poole a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Haley, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about the things you feel your parents did right and how those things have impacted your career and life.
As a new mom to an adventurous toddler I realize now more than ever how lucky I am to have had the childhood I did. As a child, I felt an innate spiritual connection to the world around me, spending countless hours in the embrace of nature, stargazing under the night sky, and reveling in the magic of the universe. My parents were structured but gave me freedom to be a kid outside for hours coloring and making creations with leaves.
My family’s involvement in schutzhund training with German Shepherds instilled in me a profound respect for discipline and loyalty to animals from an early age.
My Father always said to follow the golden rule “treat others as you wish to be treated” and that’s with empathy and compassion.
At 11, a life-changing class trip with my mom to the rainforest in Peru ignited my passion for wildlife and my desire to explore the world. Little did I know that this spark would become a guiding light in my life.
Tragedy struck when our family home was burned down by the 2007 wildfires in California, but amidst the chaos and loss, I discovered the power of resilience and the unwavering support of family, love, and community. This experience deepened my spiritual connection and instilled in me a profound appreciation for the universe’s protection and higher power.
Haley, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hi! I’m Haley Poole, an artist and conservationist deeply connected to nature and wildlife. I worked ten years in animal healthcare with a Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife, Fish, Conservation and Biology with a specialization in Avian Physiology at U.C. Davis. In my spare time from the Veterinary hospital, I would create graphite pet portraits to comfort grieving families dealing with their pet loss.
My artwork evolved to commemorate significant milestones, such as the 10th anniversary of the wildfires that reshaped my life, where I gave free paintings to local firefighters.
It was my encounter with bio neuro-feedback therapy that sparked a transformative career shift into human medicine, leading me to follow “the path of least resistance” for myself. Seeking further personal growth and healing, I pursued a degree in Cardiovascular Technology with a specialty in Vascular Sonography. This new chapter allowed me to continue my journey of self-discovery while contributing to the well-being of others.
Now, working part-time in human medicine and as a mother, I find inspiration in the beauty of life’s simplest moments and the wonder of watching my child grow. While he naps, I create.
My recent artwork, focuses on personal astrology charts and channeled celestial creations. I am currently working on an oracle decks for 2025 which reflects my evolving journey and my desire to share my unique frequency with the world.
Whether I’m working with vibrant colors, mixed media, or pigments, my goal remains the same: to bring magic to sacred spaces and share my deep connection with the universe through my art.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Tragedy struck when our family home was burned down by the 2007 wildfires in California, but amidst the chaos and loss, I discovered the power of resilience and the unwavering support of family, love, and community. This experience deepened my spiritual connection and instilled in me a profound appreciation for the universe’s protection and higher power.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
I wish to raise vibrations with my work with color. To remind other new moms that they don’t need to wait for the perfect time to get back to themselves. I create on my spare time in a way that gives me life from burnout.
I’m inspired to infuse magic into sacred spaces, sharing my unique frequency with the world through vibrant colors and mixed media.
