We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Haley Glass a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Haley, thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with inspirations and heroes. Are there any historical figures you look up to?

There are many figures I deem to be “historical” in the sense of history books from High School, many of which are incredibly admirable. But there are some who I feel should go down in history, in present times, as some of the most admirable of all. Hila Klein, owner of Teddy Fresh & Co-CEO of the H3 Podcast, as well as her Husband, Ethan Klein (and their intelligent, hilarious crew members) have taught me lessons about myself I could have never anticipated.

Over the last few years of watching and listening, I have observed Hila become more confident with her actions, acting in an unapologetic, smooth way. She brings wit, genuine compassion and an overall motherly energy to the show. That is…that cool Mom energy. I found myself wanting to become more like her. I was nervous to show the world what path I wanted to create for myself. She inspired me take the plunge, trust my instincts and launch a brand that I wasn’t sure people would like. It was different, maybe a little odd and could be misunderstood. But I did it anyway. Our brands are nothing alike whatsoever, but that didn’t matter. It was the drive I saw in her that fueled me to do my own. That was when Bounce Houz was born!

Haley, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

My name is Haley Glass, Owner, Instructor & Designer of the Bounce Houz in Atlanta, Georgia!

Bounce Houz specializes in Mini Trampoline (Rebounding), Kettlebells, Barre/Pilates & Neon Yoga. Being this is a niche industry, I got into it like many others before me…I was extremely curious as to what those people could possibly be doing on those small trampolines. I decided to take a class at a studio that offered trampoline, but took the Barre class to begin. I was met with such a kind instructor who showed me lots of care and attention, Ashley, who still works with us today! She inspired me to come back for another class. She made me feel comfortable to ask questions. That first impression means absolutely everything.

At our Studio, we aim to focus on our clients’ mental and spiritual health just as much as we aim to focus on their physical health. Without all three, the formula will never deliver. We strive for our clients to feel brilliant, resilient and overall, badass! As they should, all the time, even outside our doors.

The community and class styles set Bounce Houz far apart from other studios. We believe a fitness studio should be at the level of Chick-Fil-A (shoutouts) service, without the in your face sales push. You come back because you are happy & fulfilled, not because you feel pressured or guilty. Every reservation is a celebration, baby!

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

We used to be in a different unit across the shopping center with a different name. I tried so hard to make the space work, but I couldn’t make it work no matter what decisions I made. I had to face the facts that the functionality of the space was what was holding us back. Sometimes, making the toughest choices ends up with the best results, so we took the plunge to move across the way with a space that was better suited for us financially and for functionality. It was a tough task, but we were able to complete it in just five weeks. When you have a vision, go for it!

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?

Classpass is the ultimate best friend for all studios that are looking to build their clientele within the immediate to surrounding communities The platform allows you to promote specials, post content & even track in detail who is visiting you the most in order for you to successfully obtain clients.
