We were lucky to catch up with Hakon Ademi recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hakon , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Are you happier as a creative? Do you sometimes think about what it would be like to just have a regular job? Can you talk to us about how you think through these emotions?
This is a question that I really wanted to be answering for a long time! Am I happy as an actor? I will say absolutely!
I can not imagine any better way of living than doing something you love and are passionate about for a living!
Of course, at some point, I thought that wasn’t even a possibility. That you had to have a normal job, and then spend your spare time for your passions. But it turned out that a lot of hard work in dedication could actually make your passion to your income. And I just wanted to say that I am grateful every day that I have this opportunity! I have been working in normal jobs for many many years, and I figured out that it is not for me! Of course, I sometimes thinking that I would earn way more money and have a very much better economic situation, but I would not have the freedom and the joy that I have now! I maybe not rich and or famous, but believe me I wouldn’t give up this life for any price at all!

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
First of all, I can start by telling that I always had a passion for entertainment and I always loved story telling and play characters. I’ve done that all my life. I thought I would become a professional soccer player, but that never happened. And from there if you fast forwards a few years I got into acting and modeling, it started of from my athletic background and I was super excited for being in front of the cameras. But I realized that I was not really an actor and that I should definitely learn the craft. So I took a BFA degree in acting which opens endless doors to a lot of amazing opportunities!
I think what sets me apart from others it’s my mindset, hard work and dedication is my philosophy! When I am passionate about something, I will really dig so deep into it that I’m living and breathing it! I am willing to go those extra miles, and leave no stone unturned.
One of the things I am most proud of in my career so far it’s the part I had in “Alexander untold story” because that movie premiered on the theater here in Hollywood and that was probably one of my greatest nights of my career!

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
a lesson. I think I had to unlearn the hard way, but it’s extremely necessary is that you have to go to school to get a good education to get a good job where you earn a lot of money so you can have a happy life!
Well, I had a good job and I earned a lot of money, but guess what? I was not happy! I’d rather be a poor actor in Hollywood then a rich man trapped in the rat race!

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
To be honest One of the most rewarding aspects of this career it’s all the experiences! Working on different sets, Playing different roles! Working with a lot of amazing talented people! And really having fun at work and enjoy, enjoying every single second of it!
I’ve also been a part of a TV show for kids, And it’s super cool when my family and friends who have kids are telling me that their kids love the show and that they found it so cool to see me on TV! And they even telling their friends that their parents know me.
