Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Hailey Roe . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hailey, appreciate you joining us today. Do you manage your own social media?
I manage all of my social media accounts. The reason why I made the choices that I did was because I am very independent, I feel like its important for me to manage it all on my own because I want to continue to learn and to grow and it is something I have always loved doing. It’s something I’ve been able to learn on my own. My advice for other business owners or for anyone would be to start by managing it all on your own in the beginning. Their are so many things that you can learn by doing it on your own and you can continue to grow and find out if it’s something that you would like doing on your own or if you would like to hire people to help manage it etc.
Hailey, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Hailey Roe I’m 20 yrs old and I’m from Wisconsin. I am a video editor and photographer. It all started when I was about 13 yrs old. I was homeschooled and I would watch a lot of YouTube when I was younger, especially vloggers. I loved that they got to travel and go to conventions like VidCon and meet new people and I also loved how they got to experience amazing opportunities and just be themselves while doing it. So I thought that I would make my own youtube channel called Furbyboom28 where I would make Minecraft videos I also learned how to edit all of my videos on my own and I also learned how to make my own thumbnails. A few years later I created a youtube channel called TheHailey_Vlogs where I made my own vlogs I mostly made travel vlogs or vlogs about my everyday life. Around then was when I got into photography. I always loved taking photos of nature and animals which is why I created my Instagram account called HaileyRoephotography. Where I post photos of nature and animals I also edit my own photos, I’ve had photography experience over the years and I’ve been learning a lot along the way. I am still currently working on my website and portfolio I will eventually post my photos to the public for people to buy. What I think sets me apart from others is how independent I am I like the challenge of managing everything on my own and facing new challenges I have an eye for capturing the most Beautiful photos and I have an eye for creativity. Something I am the most proud of is how much I have learned over the years and how I’ve continued to grow that both video editing and photography are both things I am still very passionate about and have never given up on. The main things that I want my followers to know about me and my work are how passionate I am about what I do and how much I enjoy it. The reasons I do what I do is because I want to make people happy I want to make their day I want to make them laugh and smile. I want to be an inspiration to people I want to show and tell people that their dreams can come true if they put in the work and never give up. Don’t give up on your dreams if you have been dreaming about something for a long time that will give you the motivation to put in the work and make your dreams come true.
How did you build your audience on social media?
How I built my audience on social media was me just being consistent with all my posts. I would post photos and videos daily or a few days a week. I would also check my social media daily. If you stay consistent with your content you will get results and you will get an audience. if posting things on social media is something you have always wanted to do then start right away. Don’t wait to start because then you will never start. Another way I built my audience was posting things that I thought people would be interested in seeing. Like travel videos or nature photography photos are things people love too see and by posting things like that I was able to grow an audience. Another thing that helps is a good caption and hashtags, hashtags will help people find your posts and your page and then the caption will help engage your audience it will catch their attention.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect for me is getting to share my creativity with the world. I love being able to share what I can do and what I can create with the world. I love entertaining people and I love making people happy. Making people happy and getting to share my content with the world is the best reward I could ever ask for.
