We recently connected with Haidar Hachem and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Haidar thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
I hope the legacy that I leave behind for my city, my friends and most importantly my family is that if you set your mind on something, work hard and persevere, you can accomplish any goal you set out to accomplish.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Haidar Hachem and alongside my wife, Marilyn Orozco, we are opening Shōjō Beer Co. Food will be provided by the Hungry Yokai, Michael Hernandez. We are a Lebanese, Nicaraguan & Cuban brewery with a Japanese aesthetic.
I got into the industry because of my lovely wife who helped me pivot and start a career in brewing rather than continuing my career in civil engineering.
I’m most proud of that my wife (who needs to do her boards to become a doctor) and myself that left a career in civil engineering, changed our career and lives and are happy and making money doing something that we love.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
We built our audience is just being genuine and being us. We’re not pretending to be anything we’re not.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Same as above, be genuine, be kind and be yourself.
