We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Guise Dentertainer a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

GUISE , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Learning the craft is often a unique journey from every creative – we’d love to hear about your journey and if knowing what you know now, you would have done anything differently to speed up the learning process.

HI World, My name is GUISE, I’m a recording and performing artist. As a young man I hung out with once older and wiser than I. Studying the Industry gradually, I knew if I took the time to learn the business and back end the rest is in my hands and faith.

Knowing what I know now, honestly the timing couldn’t be any more perfect, if I started earlier it won’t be massive as it’s about to be.

The most skill I felt that was most essential for GUISE was persistence/consistency, once public, with repetition(the father of learning), you’ll learn, study, understand and execute better.

No obstacle can stand in my way, I am invictus, I AM GUISE.

I, The GUISE,

Birth from Blood, Sweat, Tears, Pain, Love,!!! Scares…Son of the soil of a nation, filled with so much love and life to share, NIGERIA. A Land of Love, A strength of wisdom, A place of ‘get sense’, A home a movement a people. I, GUISE, emerged from the cries of his people, brewed and embraced with the greatness of her heart.

I started this journey at a time when voices could be felt (literally), when loved ones couldn’t cluster, when life was a survival, you must too. Music was a force for me a symbol of a phase, a passing through that could be used to inspire a change, a reunion, an uprising, a happy place, a reminder of who we are as a people, as one country, as one nation, one voice, one WORLD. whilst delivering beautiful music from my home, just like the likes of the GREATS, KING SUNNY ADE, KING WASIU AYINDE(K1 DE ULTIMATE), LATE FELA ANIKULAPO KUTI, LATE MAJEF FASHEK, DANKAKA ROGO & MAKADAN SARAUTA, ,MUSASDIQ EL-SHAHUD, SADE ADU, LATE WILLIAM OYEABOR, LATE ONYEKA ONWENU, LATE OLIVER DE COQUE etc. I would love to leave a mark on the world as a son of the soil NAIJA. I’m presently working on my GUISE-P, which is scheduled to drop soon, with my 1st SINGLE #CONDOM but 1st I HEADLINE (#FMFW) FLORIDA MEN’S FASHION WEEK SHOW IN MIAMI AND THEME SONG DROPS 11-22-24 6PM.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

Honestly, The give back. I’m driven by the need to support the people of my nation, culture and the world, The power of an artist is infinite and the rewards are massive, through this platform, I can support, starving people, homeless, I can help businesses and support who needs it. I’ve already started and it’s so refreshing to help a life because help 1 life, especially woman, you’ve helped a generation. This is my number 1 reason I’m in entertainment to support humanity through a good course.

What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?

Support each other, love thy neighbors as thy self, because when 1 person makes it and has love in thy heart, you’ve helped a community, so it’s not about me, I’m 1 man, the movement starts from you too and with all hands on deck, the community will upgrade and maintain standards. So support eachotther especially upcoming and leaders of tomorrow without this there is no tomorrow.
