We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Guillermo Montesinos. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Guillermo below.
Alright, Guillermo thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Too often the media represents innovation as something magical that only high-flying tech billionaires and upstarts engage in – but the truth is almost every business owner has to regularly innovate in small and big ways in order for their businesses to survive and thrive. Can you share a story that highlights something innovative you’ve done over the course of your career?
Using the Iphone while I’m shooting a job, and uploading to social media like Instagram

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I studied graphic design at Parsons in NYC, back in the early 90’s. I started working at the same time at a stock photography agency, Superstock. This got back my interest in photography, that I had already done as staff photographer in my high school Delphi, in Sheridan Oregon. I began officially my photo career in 1990 when I started doing test shoots with models from the major agencies in NYC, Elite, Ford, Wilhelmina. Then in 1992, began to travel back and forth between Mexico City and NY to do work and assist photographers in NYC. I started. I have also published several fine art books, doing the art reproduction photography.
Now I’ve been doing mainly architectural and interiors photography since 2011.
Since I started working with the Iphone in 2011, I have an ongoing project of shooting manhole covers #memofotomanholemx and #memofotomanholeusa on Instagram @memofoto
I also have been working on analogue photography digitization since 2006.
My work philosophy is to always have excellent communication with my client, and duplicate what they need resolved with my photography.

Can you share your view on NFTs? (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)
I think that is very early to get into them. I think waiting at least 5 years and see how it evolves.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
For me, shooting architectural and interiors is a big challenge because I try to re-create the client’s view with my photography, so they can make their work known the best way possible.
