We recently connected with Grimmlockart and have shared our conversation below.
Grimmlockart, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s jump back to the first dollar you earned as a creative? What can you share with us about how it happened?
I was in the space of getting back into creating and working on my technique. I actually had no interest in selling my art work at this point. I showed my friend Ahar my art work and she was ecstatic and encourage me to sell and really light a fire that I can really go all the way with my art. I sold her 16×20 inch canvas and if I remember correctly it was a landscape. From that point on she always purchased my work. She is a fellow creative herself and she definitely inspired me. If you are a creative that is just starting out always remember you only need one person that believe in your work.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Hello, readers I’m Baltimore native and I’ve been creating art since I was a child, I specialize in painting landscapes, neo expressionism, anime inspired and abstract. I also love creating using various of different mediums. I like to get myself outside of my comfort zone and try new things, I’m most proud of creating things that move people hearts. I want to get a feel for potential new clients. What inspires them and also what particular colors represents their aura the most.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
Yes, I’m heavily influenced by literature and the macabre. My favorite two books are Don Quixote and Blood Meridian.
Don Quixote is about a Spaniard who saves damsels in distress from ferocious beasts, but in reality it’s all in his mind. I believe manifestation and how powerful it can show up in your daily life. Blood Meridian is very gory and I can spare the details, but it reminds me how humanity thrives off of chaos. Art can tell the stories of chaos.

Alright – so here’s a fun one. What do you think about NFTs?
It’s not for me I feel one day it’s going to fail.
