We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Grey Evans a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Grey thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Parents play a huge role in our development as youngsters and sometimes that impact follows us into adulthood and into our lives and careers. Looking back, what’s something you think you parents did right?
The thing that my parents did right is Everything lol. Making sure not just me but all my siblings feel loved.

Grey, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Grey is a 10 year old Youtuber with 3.7 million followers. A influencer on IG with 800k followers. A musical artist with over 21 songs. A talented dancer. And a overall happy well rounded child. She’s child number 4 out of 6. One of 4 girls. She has been in the social
media world since she was 2 years old. And continues to grow and thrive in a industry that constantly is looking for the next big thing.
How did you build your audience on social media?
Grey built her audience at the young age of 2 years old thanks to her remarkable ability to not only memorize dances but also execute them with an ability that was beyond her years. From there she expressed a desire to be a Youtuber, and achieved major success with the release of her first musical single “Be Like Grey” which has gone on to have over 40
million views.
Advice that she would give to anyone starting out as a Youtuber is that consistency is key. Also being true to yourself. Grey’s core audience loves Grey for all that she is. but
Most importantly being a 10 year old navigating through her world.
How did you build your audience on social media?
As to how she built her audience, she really gained traction on Tiktok during covid. That’s when her dancing talent once again took precedent over her Yourube videos as she still wasn’t consistent as she needed to be on that platform. Def her parents (specifically) Mom’s fault. Because growing on YT takes time and dedication and at that time, Grey’s twin brother and sister needed more attention than her parents could give to social media. Once the twins got older, Grey’s parents were able to focus on creating content for YT that involved all three of the smaller children and from there her account grew exponentially.
