We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Gretchen Dreisbach a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Gretchen, thanks for joining us today. Are you happy as a creative professional? Do you sometimes wonder what it would be like to work for someone else?
Creating Art IS My Life! My JOY! My Gift And Service To Humanity!
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I AM A Visual Artist In St. Paul, MN, With A Studio Of 29 Years! I Have Been Creating Art For 43 Years! My Drawings And Paintings Are The VISUAL Vibration Of LOVE!
I Create Art Beings With SPIRIT!
I AND My Art Beings Are In Service To LOVE! To GOD!!!
Many Examples Can Be Seen On My Website Under “ART” At: gretchengracedreisbach.com
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I Always Utilized what I had to work with and where. I went to Art School, right after High School, at 18 years old. When I moved out of My Parent’s Home shortly there after, I always lived somewhere
where I could always have A Painting in progress, a duplex or apartment or Home with an attic or garage for instance.
I had My two Children in My 20’s and was A ‘Stay At Home’ Mom, but I never put My Art on the back burner.
I took night classes at a local University, just so that I could Paint, and then I had My first Studio at 31.
My Children Required and Deserved My Full Attention, As Did My Art!
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My SOUL/DIVINE SELF/GOD IS My GPS! Whenever We Honor Our JOY And SHARE IT As A Gift And Service, Then We Are
Contributing To The Whole! The Collective!
ALL Gifts And Services Matter!
ART MATTERS TO THE WHOLE HUMAN RACE!
ART IS LOVE!
I AM LOVE!
GOD IS LOVE!!!
