At Green Beret Fitness, we pride ourselves on being the most realistic military events company in the USA. Unlike others, we don’t shout at candidates; instead, we offer them respect and responsibility, allowing them to utilize it effectively or face the consequences. We steer clear of hype and jargon, focusing on authenticity. This approach may seem less thrilling, but it ensures a genuine experience free from pretense. Our events are notoriously challenging, often taking candidates into remote, austere locations with no cell service. The biggest difference is our unwavering commitment to realism, making our events true to real-life military scenarios.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My journey into this industry began with my background as a former British Army Commando, having served in various deployments and combat scenarios worldwide. Throughout my military career, I realized that people are capable of enduring hard things, but many struggle to push themselves beyond the line of discomfort. This insight inspired me to create Green Beret Fitness, the only event company in the world specializing in timed ruck races set in beautiful, austere locations, with military training as the backbone. My goal was to design events that challenge individuals both physically and mentally, helping them discover their true potential.

How did you build your audience on social media?
Building our social media audience was a strategic process rooted in authenticity and alignment with our core values. We focused on being authentic, never trying to please everyone, but instead, staying true to our mission. We aligned ourselves with brands and companies that shared our ethos, creating a network of like-minded entities. Posting high-quality content, often produced by professional photographers and videographers, helped us stand out. We also invested in paid advertising to reach a wider audience. Our content is designed to educate and entertain, ensuring it resonates with our followers. By sticking to our core mission and consistently delivering valuable and engaging content, we built a loyal and growing audience.
We are unique because we have four branches to the company:
Mountain Events: Our biggest arm, focusing on challenging races in beautiful, austere locations.
Tactical Events: Our coolest arm, offering realistic military training experiences.
Operation ENDURE Events: In-gym, functional fitness events designed to push physical limits.
Operation PAWS Events: Dog and animal rescue events, combining fitness with philanthropy.
Each of these branches has a unique audience with limited crossover, so we need to be aware and work smartly with that information. This diversity allows us to cater to different interests while maintaining the integrity and focus of each branch.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Our most effective strategy for growing our clientele has been rooted in honesty and sticking to our principles. We’ve built a reputation on being genuine and transparent with our candidates, which has fostered trust and loyalty. Excellent customer care has been paramount; we ensure every candidate feels valued and supported throughout their journey with us.
Having the best events is also a key component. We design challenging, authentic military-style events that provide a true test of endurance, fitness, and mental toughness. To cater to a broader audience, we offer events for newcomers to taste and try, allowing them to gradually build confidence and capability.
Lastly, we prioritize people over profit. By putting our candidates’ experience and growth first, we’ve created a community that feels like family, encouraging word-of-mouth referrals and fostering long-term relationships. This approach has been instrumental in our steady and sustainable growth.
