We were lucky to catch up with Greedy Girlz recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Greedy Girlz thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Are you happier as a creative? Do you sometimes think about what it would be like to just have a regular job? Can you talk to us about how you think through these emotions?
We can definitely say with confidence that we are content with the way this creative journey has evolved for us. Being best friends sometimes we say this is the best job we could ever ask for because we are able to work with each other everyday. Being in any creative field you will have your hiccups especially being freelance. We always try to prioritize our love for music when it matters to keep it enjoyable.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
We are very proud of the fact that we are always true to ourselves and our sound. We take a lot of pride in being open format djs that like to play international music that uplifts cultures we are either apart of or huge admirers of. Celebrating culture through music worldwide is a beautiful experience that more djs should be open to doing.

Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
We wish we knew early on the importance of CDJs in the dj community. We found out later in our career that they are hard to come by but it’s crucial to know how to use them. Thankfully we have friends in the dj community like Dee Belvedere that have supported our evolving dj journey.
Having a supportive creative community is also something we don’t take for granted as a resource. There’s a lot of things we had to learn on our own but we also had a lot of support along the way that we are so grateful for!
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Being open format djs it’s difficult to find spaces where that is celebrated and accepted. One of our biggest goals has always been to push for international sounds and dance culture. Recently we have found an event called Smothered and Covered which has been so uplifting and on that same page. We also have an event called Greedy Girlz and Friendz which is about promoting an inclusive and diverse dance culture experience.
