We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Grant Offenberger. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Grant below.
Grant, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Was there a moment in your career that meaningfully altered your trajectory? If so, we’d love to hear the backstory.
There have been many defining moments throughout my journey.
The first one being me sitting at home, watching a Tony Robbins video, and learning about hypnosis and NLP. The next moment was just by chance, crossing paths with a man who would later become my hypnosis mentor, Jason Linett. Starting my own hypnosis practice Grant Me Peace – Hypnosis Healing Center. Having my own panel at San Diego Comic Con, teaching a packed double room of hundreds of people about hypnosis. Working with well known celebrity athletes. And finally, becoming the head instructor at the Southern California College of Hypnotherapy. These have been my biggest turning points within my journey so far.

Grant, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I have always been interested in all things influence and philosophy. One day I decided to research Tony Robbins. As I was watching him preform, despite me knowing nothing of hypnosis, it was obvious he was hypnotizing people. I quickly went to Google to find out he indeed is hypnotizing them with the techniques found in Neuro Linguistic Programming. Once I found out you could learn to do this, I was hooked, spending every moment of free time learning what I could. I was fortunate enough to create great relationships with some of the industry’s most respected instructors, who have elevated my skills to the next level.
Without knowing the first thing about starting a business, I opened up my practice, Grant Me Peace – Hypnosis Healing Center, and was truly amazed at the results my clients were seeing. Within that time I’ve honed my craft and my business. Learning how to run a business and perfecting my message and skills.
I have done seminars and events across Southern California and Las Vegas. The most memorable one being my reoccurring panel at San Diego Comic Con, as I have a packed double room filled with hundreds of people eager to learn about hypnosis. Throughout my journey I have been able to help countless individuals take back control of their lives and share the information I am so passionate about. I have been fortunate to work with people from all walks of life, from well known celebrity athletes to my local community.
This passion has shined so bright that the Southern California College of Hypnotherapy within The Healing Shoppe reached out to me, asking me to be their head instructor, certifying the next generation of hypnotherapists. My journey will never be over, as I keep reaching new goals, attending new trainings, and training future hypnotherapists myself, as well as seeing private clients who are ready to take back control of their lives and create the simplest solutions to their most complex issues. This is a journey built upon a foundation of curiosity and gratitude. And the message is one of helping the world take back control of their lives.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I believe having a strong set of individual values and sticking to it has helped build my reputation. I spend a lot of time debunking ideas within my industry, teaching my clients how to do these techniques themselves so they don’t have to rely on me forever, and teaching my students everything I know so they can one day outshine me and help even more people.
My goal and mission is larger than myself and I believe the authentic genuine message is something the world can recognize with a breath of fresh air. The word of mouth within my community, 5-star rating online, and award-winning practice has given the public the proof that Grant Me Peace is the hypnotherapy solution to taking back control of their lives.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
There are countless things I’ve had to unlearn to get to where I am now. We are told all sorts of things growing up that, while may be well intentioned, may not be the best advice. All sorts of things from “You’re not supposed to like your job, that’s why you get paid to do it.” to “Life is hard.” I’ve had to develop a process of auditing my own thoughts. And for every thought that passes by, ask myself;
1. Whose thoughts am I thinking?
2. Where did they come from?
3. Are they serving me?
Because you might be surprised to find, many of the challenges in your life are from simply thinking someone else’s thoughts and not living your own authentic life.
