We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Graham Hancock. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Graham below.
Hi Graham , thanks for joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
I have been involved in the automotive world since I was a child, growing up at the race track watching my mom race Porsches. I gravitated towards the customization side of the industry and have been engrained in it for almost 30 years.
In 2001 I went to a car show named Slamfest in Florida and by 2002, I was involved with the car club who held the show and at that time I began to learn what it takes to hold a car show. I was involved in the show until 2020 and when I was no longer involved in the show, it left a void to fill. So why not start my own show in Southern Utah and bring the place I love and my passion for the custom automotive world together? And so started my journey started and Rollin in the Red Rocks was born!
I have opportunities to bring a car show to other venues outside of the area but I want to bring people to where I live, show them why I live here and how amazing the area is. It genuinely excited me at the thought of hundreds of custom vehicle from near and far being in our town so I took that excitement and started the planning process.
I had such strong support from the industry from local and far donating items to be raffled off at the show so I took the opportunity to figure out a way to give back since people were giving to me. I will always jump at the opportunity to give back to the community and especially to those who can’t take care of themselves. So I chose Tan’s Treats to support and I stand by the cause and their mission in providing food to kids in school who may not have food at home and after the first Rollin in the Red Rocks Car Show, I was able to donate over $4000 and that set my sights higher to be able to donate more! After the second show with the help and generosity of all the show goers, participants and spectators I was able to raise over $8000. A local company Kona Ice saw what I was doing and wanted to be involved so they added their own donation to Tan’s Treats of $5000 and I could not be more grateful!
Ultimately I want to continue to bring some of the most beautiful cars and trucks to the most beautiful area around but the opportunity to bring income to the community and being able to give back to the community as well, I can’t deny that makes me feel good and I will continue to do it!

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I believe I answered most of this in the previous question/answer.

How did you build your audience on social media?
Social media is the way of the world now a days and if you are not tuned in, then you will be left behind! But for me the way I integrated Social media was by being part of the industry I promote and build. I am at every show that I can feasibly make it to and support the shows and the people. I have created personal friendships which then turns into social media friendships and in turn they see who I am and what I am about and then they support me and my event and cause which spirals in the best way possible.
My social media is very personal, personal messages and at times me speaking with my heart on my sleeve and I believe people can connect to me and my event due to that.

How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
Starting a business is hard and takes time and money. Most people have a lot of one and not the other. For me, I had a lot of time but not money. But I set a goal and chipped away personally at the goal and as I promoted I received sponsorships and when people began to register or vendors signed up, Rollin in the Red Rocks was able to stand on it’s own and pay for itself.
