We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Gracy Darlin a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Gracy, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
In August 2024, I took a risk by going across the world from London to LA. This was such a huge risk filled with thrill and excitement.
As a solo traveller and independent artist I didn’t know what to expect, I took a risk to get myself heard ,seen and to promote my music. After trying all avenues in my hometown.
By taking this risk , I got experience a different culture a different life. I got to meet loads of people from all walks in life. I got to perform my music and meet other artist who also do music. I got to party and enjoy different foods.
I had a blast. Touring America from LA, Florida, New York. Was such an amazing experience and I don’t regret a thing. I’ve lived, I laughed and these memories will live on!
I got to experience Hollywood LA, Walk of fame, Beverley Hills, the highs and the lows of LA. Uptown and Downtown, has been an eye opening experience.
I gained even more life experience and musical experience which I can take with me through life. I wouldn’t change a thing!
Gracy, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I come from a musical family, i have always had a passion for music and always been talented from a child.
Throughout my life I have always been involved in musical things, choirs, music college, music university, groups, collaborations, solo artist, open mics, gigs and eventually as an adult releasing my own music via all streaming platforms independently, all songs are written by me.
With my consistency and dedication I was recognised by Google and given a panel, with a simple Google search I can be found.
The services I provide within my business is Live performances, Collaborations, Parties, Guest Appearances, Interviews, Podcasts, Private functions and More.
I accept UK Based and International bookings.
Since starting my business, I haven’t had any bad experiences with my clients. I handle my business very professionally.
I’ve had no obstacles or complaints when it comes to working with me or booking with me.
The people love me for being my real authentic self and the good energy that I bring.
What sets me apart from others is the energy I embody and my creative skills.
I am most proud of achieving my dreams of becoming a famous musical artist and being able to take Gracy Darlin international.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding thing from being an artist is seeing and feeling the love from the people, being of inspiration to others, no matter what path they choose to do. Showing people that there is always hope for what you want, and to never give up. Being able to help others believe in themselves and see their worth.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
A time in my journey when I had resilience was when I released my latest single “ Jump” I got a lot of hate for it because it was a hit song! Which had a ricochet effect, I began receiving a lot of attention from that song, a lot of show bookings and also alot of love from my true darlin supporters, I was the hot topic within my city London, which caused a lot of people to also become jealous of my success with that particular song.
People began trying to tarnish me and bring me down, they tried to ruin the reputation I had built for myself. I had people recruit other artist, promoters, DJs and just normal listeners to turn against me. But I am a strong woman always have been, and i don’t need peoples validation or anything. I believe in myself, I am my own competition.
Little did these people know! They knew nothing of me but came at me over a song that was popping off. I was the IT girl and it upset MANY people. Through all that turmoil I got booked in LA Hollywood and it was my time to shine!
No matter how much hate they threw at me, I came out on top. I won and the people love me worldwide.
