We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Grace Leverich a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Grace thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?

The mission behind my brand is to increase faith’s accessibility and promote positivity through peaceful mindfulness practices. “High vibe” stands for “high vibrational”, meaning an elevated state of being, High Vibe Jewelry offers crystal jewelry that radiates good vibrations, meaning each piece is intended to symbolize goodness and position the wearer’s mind in a better perspective. The goal is to help people intentionally increase their quality of life!

My story behind this mission begins with growing up Christian and being taught a moral code that centered around treat others as you would like to be treated. I am incredibly grateful for this foundation because it has shown me the importance of empathy and creativity. However, all throughout my childhood and teenage years, I was spoon-fed religion to the point where I never independently sought out thinking about God.

I never realized my lack of faith until 2020, when I moved out of my parent’s house for college and spent the summer after my freshman year living with my sister, Kayla. She gifted me a rose quartz necklace and explained how this rock symbolizes love, which sparked my interest to learn more. She had recently gained an interest in meditation and crystals as a way to prioritize peace. She would speak affirmations to intentionally increase her quality of life and I immediately admired and followed her new initiative. I felt called to incorporate the habit into my daily yoga practice and found the benefits irreplaceable.

Since discovering meditation, my mental health has progressively strengthened. I love how each crystal has a different metaphysical property that stands for a component of positivity such as love, gratitude, opportunity, joy, etc. Through this practice, I believe meditation serves as an accessible way for anyone to better their wellbeing anywhere and at anytime.

I want to help people find faith and feel in touch with their spirituality. For me, crystals served as a tool to focus in meditation and feel closer to God. Meditation helps me view God as an energy – all things positive – and this perspective has improved my quality of life dramatically.

I like to wear crystal accessories because the metaphysical properties remind me to practice meditation and allow me to strengthen my faith. I want to share this and help people feel better through faith. Ultimately, I want to contribute to rebranding faith as a commitment and belief to better oneself spiritually, mentally, and physically.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

I am an artist that enjoys innovation. From a young age, I expressed myself creatively and felt called to create something purposeful. I started making jewelry in late 2021 as a way to relax after college courses and quickly discovered how fulfilling and therapeutic the hobby is.

I started creating new pieces every day and gained confidence in the craft as my friends began to purchase wire-wrapped crystal rings. Consequently, I prioritized any free time into developing what eventually became High Vibe Jewelry. I waitressed for startup expenses, brainstormed different brand names and potential product lines, and built a website to launch my dream.

In early 2022, High Vibe Jewelry became official and I applied for my first trade event, ‘A Fair of the Arts,’ in Bloomington, Indiana (my college town). My sister, Kayla, assisted with the show and my heart knew this is my destiny. With the help of amazing family and unconditionally supportive friends, High Vibe Jewelry held 5 pop-up shops in 2022, which led to 11 more the next year! Doing what I love strengthened my desire to grow. I was blessed to receive my degree in 3 years and graduated May 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and concentration in public relations.

My favorite part about High Vibe Jewelry (and life) is connecting with positive, wonderful, forward-thinking individuals. These events always energize, inspire, uplift, and provide a sense of grounding all at once.

I have loved the opportunity to pop-up at Made in KC Marketplaces and look forward to experiencing First Fridays this year!

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

The most rewarding aspect of being creative is the ability to think freely more frequently. I believe creativity and love are the purpose to life, so I find doing what I love through making art provides an inexplicable form of joy!

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

I want to promote positivity through peace and encourage people to do what they love. My original tagline, “crystal jewelry that radiates good vibrations,” means each piece is intended to symbolize goodness and position the wearer’s mind in a better perspective. For example, rose quartz stands for love. When I wear rose quartz, I think about the benefits of love and I wholeheartedly believe this increases my holistic health because I allow my imagination to expand and discover new ways to understand and give more attention to a component of positivity. This process has increased my quality of life, so my goal and mission with High Vibe Jewelry is to share something that helps me in hopes of helping others!
