Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Grace Graber. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Grace, thanks for joining us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
This last August I released my very first full length album. Me and my team had a vision to releasea project that represented all the areas in life we might need breakthrough. “The Breakthrough” is about accepting the broken pieces as they are and understanding that God want to repurpose it from something much greater. We started producing singles and quickly released we were pursuing a full length album. It was incredibly hard because I’m currently independent but we did it. We believe that God is gonna use those songs to save someones life.

Grace, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
An old Hawk Nelson song saved my life when I was 13. I found the places I felt most safe were under ground christian rock concerts. After realizing the impact music can have on someone, I knew that I wanted God to use me in the same way. I started pursueing music about 4 years ago after I wrote a Jingle for my 9-5 job and visiting nashville for the first time. Once more doors opened, I started sharing my testimony online and found how common my story actually was.. I’m now being as intentional as I can and have a passion to do what Hawk Nelson did for me even more than ever. This means a lot to me because I almost died. I wouldn’t have been here to experience all that God can do if I chose to leave early.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding part is the people I can impact in the small in between moments. I always try to find moments for my fans to make them feel seen and special. I played an award show last night and met a 14 year old girl outside who had driven 12 hours to be there that night. I may have gotten in trouble BUT they were still sound checking and i used the time i had to bring her inside to see everything before the show started. Those are the moments I remember the most when I was a teen, so I’m excited to be the one that God trusted to do that for someone else.

How did you build your audience on social media?
I built my audience from being honest about what I went through. How cool is it to know I have fans now who know the dark part of my story and still love me. It might feel scary to share your story and you might not feel ready yet but do it. it’s the thing that God gave you to make an impact. You will find the audience who NEEDS to hear it the most.
