We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Glorianna Chan. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Glorianna below.
Glorianna, appreciate you joining us today. Covid has brought about so many changes – has your business model changed?
I wouldn’t say it changed much, but rather, covid convinced me even more to do a value-based business instead of volume-based.
Volume-based business rely on many many bookings, in my line of work, it means more portrait sessions & more weddings. While this sounds great, it could be not so great for the client experience. When you have more clients, that means you have to spread yourself thin to pay attention to one client.
We believe that wedding planning is so special that we’ll give you the best experience possible as your wedding photographer. By investing more time with our clients, their vision, and their planning, we will be able to help them slow down and be presence on their wedding day. That way, we will capture images that are honest, impactful, and vibrant.
That is why we serve a selected number of clients each year so that we can invest in them and give it our 110%.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
GLORIANNA CHAN founded Glorious Moments Photography when she just moved to Atlanta, looking for a career opportunity in the advertising/public relations industry. As she was looking to build a career in the corporation world, her passion for photography keeps getting stronger. Finally, in 2017, she left that world and took the leap to serve her wedding clientele full time.
Having lived in 2 different continents, she has a diverse background. Her passion for traveling, fashion, culture, and food are one of her biggest tool in serving many of her mixed-heritage wedding clients.
In this fast-paced world, she aims to help her client be presence on their wedding day, so that one day, they and their family will look back and inspired to love more.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The most effective strategy is word of mouth. It sounds cliche, but the more people experience you, the more people will talk about you. These days, there are so many photographers that can produce great images. What makes us difference? Our personality, our background, our intention, and our why. Only the people that know us and has experienced Glorious Moments will be able to share these with their peers.

Does your business have multiple or supplementary revenue streams (like a ATM machine at a barbershop, etc)?
Yes, beside capturing honest, impactful, and vibrant images for our clients, we also help other photographers to dream bigger. We don’t believe in the term starving artist. As an artist, you can grow a successful business that will help you achieve your goals in your personal life. You have a big opportunity here. You’re worth it.
