We were lucky to catch up with Gloria Lai recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Gloria, thanks for joining us today. Have you been able to earn a full-time living from your creative work? If so, can you walk us through your journey and how you made it happen? Was it like that from day one? If not, what were some of the major steps and milestones and do you think you could have sped up the process somehow knowing what you know now?

Have you transitioned from full-time work to creative work? No, I manage both full-time work and creative work together.

How did your creative journey start?
It all started one day when I was struck by an idea, and I decided to pursue it.

Could you describe a major milestone in your creative career?
I remember when some big companies reached out to me, it was a major milestone for me.

Do you believe that things could have been done faster in your creative journey?
I don’t think things could have gone any faster. I enjoy the process, and I don’t see it that way. When the timing is right, you will get your moment.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

Being an influencer takes effort and dedication as it requires building a loyal following, creating engaging content, and partnering with brands. It also entails being authentic and transparent with your audience while maintaining your brand image and values.

Influencers have the power to influence and shape public opinion, especially with the rise of social media platforms. However, with that power comes responsibility and accountability to ensure that the products and services they promote are of high quality and align with their values and those of their followers.
