We were lucky to catch up with Glenn Marsden recently and have shared our conversation below.
Glenn, appreciate you joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
The story behind my organisation, the ‘Imperfectly Perfect Campaign’ came from sadly losing a friend to suicide.
Something set a light in me like no other to make a change across the Mental Health field from what I was seeing.
It wasn’t a little mission neither, I was on a mission to change things globally and by those means, I set out in changing the narrative and challenging the perceptions of Mental Health Awareness.
I set out to capture the essence of humanity by helping the world to see there is a serious issue that has no barrier of fame, fortune, social status, creed, beliefs, ethnicity or age.
Within 12 months, I had not only taken my efforts globally but gained the backing of some of the world’s most recognised and respected faces behind my organisations efforts from the UK, to Australia, Hollywood and beyond.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My organisation, The Imperfectly Perfect Campaign has led the way in providing resources, events, summits and more in the realm of Mental Health, though this is something I founded and continue working very closely with my team on.
I also delved into the mentoring world and set up another business, due to so many organisations and those in the entertainment industry contacting me wanting to know how they could work with me to help them with marketing, brand management and for Talent Agencies, their clients.
Today, I am blessed to be a highly sought after Confidence and Visibility Mentor for those in the Entertainment Industry and the go to specialist for Actors, Singers and Artists around the world to position, leverage and get seen by talent agents and managers Internationally.
I have been featured in over 150 + International Mainstream Publications and Networks, have the backing of over 450 + of the worlds most respected and recognized faces across Entertainment, Sports, Corporate and the Wellbeing Space behind my organisation, The Imperfectly Perfect Campaign which is on it’s way to collectively impact over 1 BILLION lives, and regularly speak on international Platforms as a Key-Note Speaker.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Let’s take my organisation, The Imperfectly Perfect Campaign.
Today, you will see over 450+ of the worlds most recognised faces behind its global efforts, you will see all of the International coverage on it, you will see the events, the reach, the impact and it truly is something that continues growing at incredible speed.
What it took to come to light was pure resilience. My background prior to any of what I do today was in the Fitness Sector as a Club Manager and Personal Trainer. I didn’t know celebrities, people of influence, I didnt know how to do marketing, branding, I wasn’t much of a networker, I certainly didnt understand Public Relations.
I also didnt have additional funds or resources to get help on any of what I did.
So I literally put my head down, researched every aspect of what I was trying to do in creating a movement, how to gain exposure, how to build organic growth, how to write press releases and put pitch decks together, how to network with people I wanted to get in front of to showcase what I was doing and how to leverage everything.
I guess I put one foot in front of the other, and implemented everything along the way.
I also quit my career to give this a real shot because It had purpose for me. So I jumped into a construction gig on night shifts working 6 days a week, 12 hour shifts, getting some sleep in then putting all of what I was learning in to practise.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I believe when it comes to my mentoring business, so many organisations and clients come to me and are referred to me through my results, my integrity and honesty.
They have all seen how I took my organisation from ground zero to a global movement, they see the social proof, they see the names behind me and my work and more times than not, I get so many referrals because of my reputation.
With clients predominately coming in from the Entertainment industry, where a lot of people can talk a good talk, social proof, integrity and honesty is everything and because of my reputation for my organisation and my network, people know they are getting the real deal with me.
Whilst building all of my organisation, I was simultaneously networking consistently with Agents, Publicists and Management teams to understand the industry from a business aspect also to understand more how I could help people coming to me.
