We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Glenn Dietz a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Glenn thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard

We create the highest level of design, using acid-free fine art papers and gallery level inks for printed martial art awards, certificates and diplomas at a value for our customers.

Glenn, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Custom Printed Awards, LLC, dba Martial Art Certificates is a fourteen year old collaboration between creatives who are martial artists and illustrative artists. With that knowledge base we set out to create the finest awards, certificates and diplomas for the Martial Arts Industry at a cost effective price and speedy, no hassle delivery.

What sets us apart from our limited competition is that we use the finest materials available for paper, packaging and ink that are acid-free and guaranteed from defects. If there is ever an issue with our products we replace, no questions asked.

We work with our customers to create their vision for their students and branding for their studio. This is a collaborative process whereby we turn our customers into an art director for the day and tap into their mindset. We then put together a rough virtual certificate sample for their review. Nothing moves forward until we receive their approval. Once our customers are satisfied with their design we then move forward to printing, packaging and shipping directly to their door.

It is very simple after that process. There are no minimum orders and we turn around all orders within 24 to 48 hours of receiving an order in-house. Time is money and we understand that high quality products, with efficient delivery at a fair price works for all sizes of studios.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

We provide the most creative pathway to building our customers vision for their awards, certificates and diplomas with no hassles. Many times I hear that we are their BEST supplier because we listen to their needs, are quick to respond and provide high quality products.

I learned long ago that quality, service and value as well as treating our customers with respect and understanding that we are all small business owners is the greatest complement to both our businesses.

We have provided awards for some of the greatest martial artists in our industry as well as entertainment, cities, states, military, etc. It is our honor to create these awards. It’s fun too!

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

Let’s just say, in many small businesses when you have partners, there are those occasions when one of them does not share the vision and goes off the rails and does something that is no savory. I will leave it at that.

We triumphed and grew stronger because of if.
