We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Giulia Tizzano. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Giulia below.
Giulia, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We love heartwarming stories – do you have a heartwarming story from your career to share?
In 2015 I quit my stable job, sold all my stuff to travel the world and search the meaning of life. I began shedding many layers about myself and what I thought I believed in. I found more pieces of my true self, and stepped into a more authentic version of me.
While traveling, many encounters played a big role in my evolutionary experiment, but I also began inspiring others along the way.
There was one specific incident that stood out to me, helping me realize how the impacts of one’s own journey affects people around them. In Cambodia I met two Canadians. We became fast friends and decided to travel together for a while. I shared my story and I was so freely myself with them, in awe of the beauty and magic that life has to offer on a daily basis.
One of my companions shared how incredible it was to not just see but experience someone being so in love with life, doing what she loves to do every single day, helping others and being authentically herself without caring about what others think.
He was so inspired that he went home to Canada, quit his real estate job, began investing time and energy in his passion (videography) and within 2 years, he found a flexible job as a videographer, shooting documentaries about indigenous people, and helping them in their communities. He facilitates charity projects around the world by doing what he loves for few years now.
This was such a wonderful reflection for me to understand the power of doing our own healing work. Even a little piece can surprise you with the magnitude of its reach in the world. Because now this person is changing other people’s lives and they will in turn help others- the effect will go on.
The importance of answering to the soul’s call to be who you are meant to be and not what you are expected to be is key to everyone’s happiness.
This is exactly what I offer to my clients: a place to start a journey back to their true self, to empower them to be the change in the world that echoes with their soul.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am an intuitive healer and spiritual guide.
I was raised in a medicinal focused family, my dad is a doctor and mom a psychologist–which helped form my humanistic curiosity. I studied medicine and graduated as a top student at Sacred Heart University, and then worked as a Physiotherapist in Rome for 4 years. Meanwhile, I traveled and studied meditation and Reiki, becoming a Reiki Master.
I began to work on international research projects got involved in international volunteering projects in Africa with the Neuromuscular Taping Institute, becoming the coordinator of the volunteer division.
During one of my work trips to Africa in 2015, I decided to quit my job and travel the world to deepen my knowledge in alternative healing methods. I felt the need to open my mind to new cultures and experiences. I didn’t know at that time but I was answering my soul’s calling.
I learned different techniques and modalities of great masters around the world- from the ancient wisdom of the Himalayas to the indigenous heritage of the Amazon jungle. My unique healing practice is individually curated and to promote one’s ideal state of being.
I specialize in treating the person as a whole being in three components: body, mind, and spirit. From the beginning of my practical therapeutic journey, I have nearly 15 years of hands-on experience helping people work through different blocks (physical and spiritual) that stand in the way of living as their authentic self.
From 2018 I studied shamans from different traditions in Central and South American, becoming a steward of this ancient knowledge in service of others’ spiritual and physical wellbeing. For the last 7 years I have been diving deep into learning how to combine plants, energy techniques and hypnotherapy, to help people work through childhood traumas, sexual abuse, addictions, limiting belief system, subconscious reprogram and soul alignment.
The subconscious is my cup of tea. I strongly believe that if we acknowledge our shadows, then our inner lights will shine brighter.
All of this to say that I offer my clients a comprehensive approach to help find their way out of suffering, expand their sense of self, and build a life full of meaning and purpose.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
One of the most difficult times, if not the most difficult time of my life, was during my divorce. I invested so much into the relationship and despite the toxicity, I was having a hard time accepting that it was ending. There was so much pain and shame that I had to work through. How can a healer end up in such a situation? I had this high standard that I set for myself which made me feel like a failure.
Then there was this incredible turning point when I realized that this was the ultimate lesson on my misconceptions of family and marriage that I needed to work out, redefining them to align to what I truly wanted in life. It was a profound and harsh healing experience that shook me to the core.
Interestingly enough, my capacity to hold space for others while going through this night of the soul was not diminished, and I was still capable of bringing light to the world around me.
It really gave me the strength to keep going and doing what I am meant to do.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
Letting go of the perfectionism was a big one for me. We expect healers and spiritual guides to be holy, infallible beings.
The truth is we are all humans and it’s actually our challenges and flaws that make us capable of holding sacred space for other people’s pain and growth.
I had to unlearn my beliefs on everything I thought I was supposed to be based on what I assumed my family and society expected of me. I needed to step fully out of the box to find the real edges of myself so that I could show up authentically with my clients. How could I lead someone on a such deep journey, if I haven’t experienced it myself?
With every new awareness I had to unlearn what I thought I knew about myself or what I thought I was. It is still an ongoing process of detaching from all the identities and stories, to give space to the raw and new versions of me to rise. It is scary but exciting at the same time. It gives me the freedom to just be me, at any given time. The moment that I realized that this unlearning process is key to my evolution, I finally embraced the sovereignty of being who I am any time I want, without any expectation.
