Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Giovanni Cabrera. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Giovanni , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?

I was very determined and self efficient I hated to ask anyone for anything. So I learn by trial and error. I simply just did it and with repetition you have no choice but to improve. With music and photography.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

My names Adrian Giovanni Cabrera. Im from the eastside of Arlington Texas. Im a father a singer songwriter and photographer. My mom is from oakcliff and my dad is from Durango Mexico. I got into all this from my personal life. I use everything as expression everything as a outlet. I feel like if your a artist everything you touch is art. I never knew how to do music but I dove right in. I think with photography with my clients I see things in them that they don’t see through my lens. And with music I feel like I’m a very relatable human being. What separates me is that I’m the same online and offline everything is genuinely me. What I’m proud of honestly is myself. I overcame a lot of trials and tribulations these last couple years and I still shine. I have a strong relationship with god and I feel like I’m protected.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

I wanna be international. I wanna be in a position to change lives and help people. Help my family give them everything they ever wanted and just help people in general.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?

I had to learn to take everyone’s opinion with a grain of salt. I feel like all the greats went through every emotion like every other artist. And you can never satisfy everyone. They hated on Jesus himself.
