We recently connected with Ginny Horton and have shared our conversation below.

Ginny , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you tell us about a time that your work has been misunderstood? Why do you think it happened and did any interesting insights emerge from the experience?

The art of channeling as a psychic medium is often very misunderstood or heavily judged in a negative way. When I tell someone my profession is a Psychic medium and I do work with light magic through candle manifestation they either look at me in fascination, curiosity or pure disbelief. They mischaracterize it as well that I’m surely reading minds however that is simply not true I read energy not minds. This isnt just a personal story this happens to many people who do what I do. I believe this happens due to religious views or just society themselves and also people fearing the unknown ,the movies often portray the spiritual side of things as dark and scary when in reality we are all souls having a human experience essentially we are all spiritual beings. For people that come to me who are bit nervous or skeptical I use that as a time to educate them and to showcase my abilities in a positive way to show them that having a reading can be empowering and healing. However some people are heavily against what I do and I have to respect the beliefs they have. The insight I have taken from experiences of people judging me is this path isn’t for me to get into my ego and try to prove something to these individuals ,my path is about being a guiding light of healing and helping give people deeper insight into their lives.

Ginny , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I am International Medium and Intuitive Psychic, spiritual healer and spiritual practitioner. I am born medium I have been seeing and feeling Spirit since a young child I often explain my experiences as a child much like the movie the sixth sense so as a young child some my experiences where quite scary and almost terrifying. These scary experiences was only because I didn’t understand what was happening to me. As I grew older I kinda grew with these abilities I remember as a teenager taking my friends to all these haunted locations I would check out books from library about haunted places in my state and then go check them out. I would somehow convince my aunt to drive me and my friends at times to these places as I was only 15. I was always very fascinated by the paranormal world. Going to these places was kind of my outlet to explore my abilities because other aspects of my teen life I tried to suppress them while navigating my teen years.

I wouldn’t say there was an exact defying moment that I decided I would become a professional Psychic medium it was almost as Spirit led me down the path. I like to call it my spiritual journey because that’s exactly what happened this journey that led me right back to 6 year old me seeing Spirit. I recall during this time I was visiting all these metaphysical shops in Hollywood and around Los Angeles I went into one and had reading the lady told me you’re just like me you can see other side too and you’re also a witch too. I bought a tarot deck and crystal called blue apatite and its like I was just a natural its like my senses was wide open all of sudden again. I started reading friends and people here and there. I then decided to look for others like me and joined Mediumship development training and classes to really work on my channeling with the other side. This really helped critique my abilities so I could feel confident and have a deeper understanding of my abilities. I didn’t just jump into this I invested ,I studied and read so much from books on herbs, to candle magic books, and witchcraft and so many others. I went through training and became a certified reiki master and sound healer. I invested time and money so that I could provide great services because although I was a born medium I knew by learning I could help people in so many different ways spiritually.

Moving forward to now Ive been doing this professionally for 10 years. I have opened 3 office locations in southern California and offer sessions remotely as I have clientele from all around the world. I offer a variety of services from psychic and Mediumship readings to reiki healing to candle burn services for manifesting your desires using the element of fire to create the transformation you want in your life. i am the owner of divine magick which is spiritual products brand that offers a variety of things such as manifesting oils, candles, crystal jewelry line and so much more.

I’ve always felt my path is to help people. I help clients with all sorts of problems from giving psychic readings to help navigate through life’s uncertainty to reconnecting someone with a loved one in spirit and bringing peace and closure. When clients are feeling unbalanced I introduce reiki to help them balance themselves spiritually. My purpose to help shift people into more positive direction in life.

I feel what sets me aside from others is I truly come from a non-judgmental place I feel we live in such judgemental society that clients often feel at ease with me as I approach my sessions grounded in empathy and greater understanding. I want peoples experiences to be positive even if the reading isn’t always the outcome they want to hear. I work with so many people from all walks of life and I always want every person to feel welcomed. I do not like to have a session filled with fear and uncertainty but more so empowerment and healing.

It’s hard to say what I am most proud of because I’ve become such a person of gratitude. I feel being proud and grateful for even the small things is what ultimately leads you to your biggest things. The more grateful and proud you are the more the universe has to deliver. But outside of this I would say family, my son because the people we love our children are some of our most proudest things.

I feel I want people to know that my sessions are dedicated to helping and healing and my work Is grounded in empathy and coming from a non-judgemental place. I’m here to help navigate empower and uplift and ultimately align you with your highest of good.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

The most rewarding part of what I do is being able to uplift someone in their lowest moments and be able to revive their spirit. Being able to reconnect the threads between life and death and bringing communication through once more from lost loved one and the happiness it brings to the client, is a gift I truly love. Being able to use my creativity to interpret often vague information I receive during channeling and tailoring it to a client and the positive impact it brings to them is rewarding. I love being able to use herbs and things to create manifesting oil and creating new candles that will become empowering to my clients. Creating the magic that I know will one day transform someones life is truly what drives me. I feel every aspect to what I do and being able to help people is rewarding.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

I think this goes back to people misunderstanding psychic Mediums and spiritual entrepreneurs the lesson I had to unlearn is everyone is not going to understand or even believe in what you do and that it is not my job to prove anything to them. My path was designed to help those that spirit aligns with me by that I mean someone who sees me online and feels drawn to me, someone who hears about me or however they find me. I never reach out to anyone I put myself out there and the people who feel energetically drawn to me come that is my path spirit will align people to find me. I am here for the people that need me. I feel when I was much younger I tried to prove things to people who was never going to see the positive of what I did and I wasted so much energy and time on people who was not energetically aligned with me that I drained my own energy overtime. I learned there is no need to do that. I have learned you will be surprised at how many people will support you once you let spirit lead.
