Hi Ginny, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’m Ginny, and I have always been passionate about technology, design, and creating more intuitive digital experiences. With over 12 years of experience in the marketing industry and a background as a developer, designer, and UX researcher, I have identified a significant gap in traditional marketing: it often neglects user experience (UX). Many marketing strategies focus solely on delivering catchy messages with strong CTAs (Calls to Action) instead of researching and understanding how users actually engage with the marketing content.
This insight motivated me to transform VDS Digital Agency into a marketing agency wholly dedicated to UX Marketing in late 2023. UX Marketing© is a user-centric approach that integrates UX principles into digital marketing to create painless, engaging, and conversion-driven experiences. Unlike traditional marketing, it prioritizes the entire user journey, ensuring every interaction is intuitive and impactful.
As a result, in recent years, VDS has refined and expanded UX Marketing by integrating research, design thinking, and data analysis to develop marketing strategies that enhance usability and build trust. My approach ensures that businesses promote their products and foster meaningful interactions with their audiences. Instead of relying on aggressive sales tactics, we aim to make digital marketing more intuitive and effective. My mission is to redefine the industry by demonstrating that marketing should prioritize the user as much as the brand.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. Like any new concept, UX Marketing requires continuous trial and error, along with testing across various brands and industries. One of my key challenges has been assisting startups to adopt this approach when they sometimes aren’t as ready as they appear, as it requires a level of stability and long-term vision that early-stage businesses often lack. Additionally, finding the right balance between thorough research and timely execution has been an ongoing personal struggle: moving too quickly can lead to ineffective strategies, while overanalyzing can slow progress.
Over the past three and a half years, VDS has undergone two major pivots, gradually refining its approach to UX-driven Marketing. While the agency is now stable, there is still work to be done to optimize operations and enhance our services. Personally, balancing professional growth with well-being has posed challenges, leading me to recently develop more AI tools to maintain quality without experiencing burnout.

Rather than simply pushing strong calls to action, we prioritize the entire user within the marketing journey, making sure that every interaction feels intuitive, builds trust, and drives genuine engagement.
Our services include UX-driven marketing strategies, content marketing, social media management, email campaigns, website development, analytics, graphic design, and more. All are coordinated through our proprietary UX Marketing Workflow, a unique framework that ensures our strategies are research-based, user-centric, and optimized for long-term success.
What sets us apart is our dedication to research, design thinking, and data analysis to develop marketing strategies that genuinely connect with users, not just sell to them. I’m most proud of how VDS has helped brands move beyond aggressive sales tactics and adopt a more intuitive, user-first approach. How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
I am very selective about my clients, primarily through referrals and reviews. Still, I’m open to taking on a few new brands interested in implementing a UX Marketing strategy in the coming months.
I’m also building a UX Marketing community by sharing insights through articles on my website and LinkedIn, where I also have a newsletter. I created UXMI (the UX Marketing Institute) a few years ago. It is still in its early stages, but big ideas take time. Any collaboration or support in growing this movement is always welcome.
