Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Ginner. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Ginner, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
The biggest risk I took was to not get into college because I wanted to give the 100% of my time to get better at what I do, play at different events, learn how to make a great song and basically dedicate my life to it. This was a enormous risk because the usual way, for people that graduates from high school, was start a career, then graduate and look for a job. In my case was way more different because I trusted my instinct, my skills and my talent. But I have always thought that if you can show to the people that what you are doing, you are doing it with love nothing can go wrong. Of course there are some frustrations on the way to your objective, but that is how life works, nothing comes easy and for free, it is extremely necessary to work hard on your dreams and keep an strong mindset.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Hi folks, my name is Gabriel but you can call me Ginner, I’m from Chile (South America) and I’m a DJ/Producer since almost 10 years. I started djing at 15 years old and producing music at 18 years old. Nowadays I live from music and made this as a living of mine. I started in this playing at birthday parties and escalating to clubs and bigger venues which lead me to festivals and big events. As I was growing in this, I started producing music and defining my style and the genre I wanted to dedicate to, which is Tech House music, I’m still working on my sound and get my songs to reach every corner of this world.
Of course all this journey was not pink colored, sometimes I was not conformed with the product I was making, needed more tools to have a better and unique sound, lost money investing in publishing and/or people that did not wanted to listen to my music. This kind of things the most of the times stresses upcoming artists, but my advice is to just have a strong mindset, because experience is the best teacher, it could be expensive, but there is not other place you can learn better.
The most difficult part is to demonstrate what is different in you than others, in my case is that every song of mine you listen to is a different story and vibe, but they all have in common one thing, which is the groovy bass that makes you want to dance all night long.
I’m proud of what I have achieved until now like play at different countries like Brazil, Mexico, Chile and United States, also the songs I have been working on and the people that keeps listening to my art. And of course the constant work is to achieve more fans, listeners and followers, there is not an enough amount haha.
Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
I wish I knew that I would miss so many plans with my friends and family. For example, I missed my high school prom because I had an event that same day, same story with different celebrations, family trip plans, birthdays from friends, etc. Sometimes you will have to sacrifice those things to keep growing in what you are working on.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I remember one time I was in Tulum, I went there to be part of the musical scene and get my music and artist profile known. In this time I suffered hunger and was living in poor conditions, but my dream of achieve my musical objective kept me alive. Everyday I was asking myself how much I wanted this and what am I willing to go through. Nowadays I would not change anything, it was totally worthy, because I met wonderful people that was there supporting me.
