Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Gina Vanluven. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Gina, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Was there a defining moment in your professional career? A moment that changed the trajectory of your career?
I was sitting in a staff meeting and the Director of the organization said something to the effect of “We’re going to lose some good people. But that’s just the way it is and we’ll move on.” I realized at that moment that I was just a number that could be replaced by another number. I didn’t want to work for a company who didn’t value their employees. So I left.

Gina, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Gina Van Luven is an international wellness speaker, author, Board-Certified Health Coach and owner of Prime IV Hydration & Wellness – Red Mountain Gateway. She is the creator of several self-help programs and the bestselling author of “Nutrition for Success – How to Maximize Performance in All Areas of Life” and “I’d Rather Scrub Toilets Than Cook! Having overcome several health issues using healthy food and alternative treatments, Gina felt empowered to support others in their journey toward health and well-being. She believes that, while you may be handed a specific set of cards, how you play them is up to you. Life is full of twists and turns. But if you have the right tools, you can navigate them with ease and grace.
Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
I feel it is important to be engaged with my team. Even though I don’t manage them day to day, I want them to know that I value them and their contributions to my company. I give them shout-outs when they go above and beyond. I have personal conversations with them when I can. And I try and do team-building events to foster a “great place to work.”

Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
I am merely a vessel. I can’t become invested in the outcome of others because their choices determine their outcome. I also know my vessel can’t serve everyone. So, I just try to be the best vessel for those who need me.
