Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Gina Maier Vincent. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Appreciate you joining us today. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.
Thank you for having me. I’m delighted to be here.
Risk is about stepping outside our comfort zone and embracing the unknown. It can feel uncomfortable because we naturally fear what we can’t see or predict—it’s like fumbling in a dark room, uncertain of what lies ahead. However, when we say “yes” to invitations that are intriguing, interesting, and intimidating, we invite possibility, potential, and reward.
Risks involve time, money, and energy—what I call our Divine Resources. My current and complex risk is my book, “Exquisitely Aligned: The Pocket Guide to Your Magnificent Future,” which is currently in pre-sales. This project is an immense investment of all three “Divine Resources,” and it also involves putting myself out there in a bigger way, increasing the risk of judgment and the unknown.
What sets entrepreneurs apart from those who stay in the Conformity Trap—a prison of others’ judgments and expectations—is our willingness to move from the unknown to the known, from the old to the new, rather than resisting it. The good news is that any new way of living becomes familiar and comfortable over time, as long as we’re willing to embrace the discomfort during the transition. This is where I find joy and peace.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
I’d love to. I’m Gina Maier Vincent, a driven and fast-paced New Yorker at heart, though I now call Southern California home. My life’s journey has been full of twists and turns, each shaping me into who I am today, and I’m grateful for all of them.
What truly makes me come alive is a deep connection to the world around me. Whether I’m sipping tea in my yard, watching hawks and hummingbirds, or gliding across the water on my paddleboard, I feel a profound sense of belonging to something greater. I’m energized by seeing my children pursue their passions, and I come alive when I’m behind a microphone, sharing my voice and message with an audience. Above all, I’m passionate about helping my clients achieve breakthroughs with the 3-step proven soul-shifting concierge experience I have created with my company Exquisitely Aligned. I love that I’m living my life with purpose and making a tangible impact in my clients’ lives
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The key to growing your clientele starts with understanding your purpose. It’s crucial to discover how you want to work, live, and express yourself in the future by finding the path that aligns with your unique gifts. Many people overcomplicate the idea of purpose, but at its core, it’s quite simple: your purpose is to express your unique gifts in a way that brings you happiness, fulfillment, and a deep sense of alignment. It’s about doing the things that genuinely fill you up from within.
While “purpose” can be simple, it’s not always easy to achieve. Yet, when you gain real clarity about your gifts and your purpose, something remarkable happens…you stop worrying about competition. You begin to naturally attract the right clients, and people are willing to invest more than you ever imagined because they truly value what you bring to the table. This clarity has been transformative not just for my own life and business, but also for my high-achieving clients.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
In my twenties, before meeting my husband Mark, I left New York for a job in Charlotte, North Carolina. The move felt like an upgrade—Charlotte was sunny, warm, and far more affordable than New York. However, my new job wasn’t what I expected. My boss, who had been relocated with a demotion, was miserable and took it out on everyone around her. I found myself asking for a transfer just to escape the toxicity.
Around that time, I met a man through a friend. He was kind, steady, and seemed like a great match. We shared similar values and goals, and the logical next step in my life checklist was marriage and family. Yet, as we moved closer to our wedding, I began to feel disconnected from myself. I felt like I was living someone else’s life. Planning the wedding became a series of frustrations, and I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off.
The breaking point came when I realized I couldn’t look at myself in the mirror. I knew I wasn’t being true to myself. One day, I asked him, “On a scale of one to one hundred, how sure are you that you want to marry me?” When he replied, “80,” I knew it wasn’t enough. I called off the wedding, and while it was heartbreaking, I knew it was the right decision.
The aftermath was difficult, but it allowed me to reconnect with who I truly was. I realized I had been trying to fit into a life that wasn’t meant for me, simply because it seemed like the right thing to do at the time. It was a painful lesson, but one that taught me the importance of staying true to my desires and values.
Can you share a customer success story – a time when you helped your client or customer achieve a really great result or solved a difficult problem for them?
Certainly. Let’s call her Debra. Debra was going through a challenging divorce and had recently moved into a new apartment. Despite having more free time, she felt drained and unable to move forward. When we started working together, I asked her, “Where is all your energy going?” She wasn’t sure but described feeling heavy and overwhelmed.
We quickly identified several “energy leaks” in her life. First, she was emotionally exhausted from trying to maintain strained friendships from her marriage—connections that had become distant and critical. Second, her beautiful new apartment was cluttered and disorganized, adding to her stress. Lastly, her finances were tangled up with unnecessary bills and subscriptions from her old life.
I advised Debra to reassess how she was spending her time, money, and energy—what I call her “Divine Resources.” She agreed, and I helped her take action immediately. Debra cleaned up her finances, saving $400 a month by canceling unused services. We then organized her home, decluttering and creating space for new possibilities. Feeling lighter, Debra was ready to address her friendships. She courageously confronted two unsupportive friends and let go of relationships that no longer served her.
The transformation was remarkable. Debra now enjoys a vibrant social circle, financial stability, and a peaceful home environment. She’s no longer weighed down by others’ opinions and is embracing her future with enthusiasm.
