We recently connected with Gina Kitzmiller and have shared our conversation below.
Gina , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
Playing small. It’s something I’ve done for most of my life. It was a way to stay safe and not rock the boat.
In my thirties, I studied yoga and eventually learned about the energy body and chakras. It peaked my interest and I found a local program and eventually became a Reiki Master. I began talking to my spirit guides, developing my intuition and working with my own energy field. Although it was a large part of my life, it was something I shared very little about – even to my closest friends. I was terrified about what people would say.
In 2020, I felt nudged to start a blog in which I talked about intuition and messages from my spirit guides. This was a big step, even though I was too nervous to put my name on it. I remained anonymous yet began posting channeled messages. That step lead me to start leaning in to sharing my thoughts and spiritual side. Eventually, I started a new blog with my own name and even shared it family and friends…this was huge for me. It felt momentous and yet (almost comically) there wasn’t much reaction. This big event that I had built up in my mind – didn’t receive much attention at all. I laughed at my own ego and continued to move forward.
As years went by, I stopped playing small and started sharing my authentic self (which for me, was the biggest risk of all). I began seeing clients professionally and grew more comfortable in delivering intuitive messages. I started stepping outside the box when it came to energy work. These days, I continue to take steps away from playing small. I’ve learned that fear, may get quieter but it never fully goes away. I recently completed a memoir about losing my husband to suicide in 2018, started a Youtube channel and now give weekly messages on Instagram.
I look back and see how the little steps have lead me to where I am today. I see so many who are afraid to trust that intuitive voice and follow their dream. My best advice – don’t wait until your 100% ready, just take the first step.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I have training in various forms of reiki, including being a certified Usui Reiki Ryoho Reiki Master. I see clients in person and for Distance sessions across the United States via zoom. My reiki sessions are a blend of reiki, sound healing, and intuitive guidance (even via zoom). The use of different modalities during sessions help clients to release old wounds/patterns, discover new ways of thinking, and own their gifts. Each session is different and I love seeing the deeper wisdoms that often emerge during sessions.
I am co-founder and Reiki Master-Teacher of TriKona Light Reiki ™. This a ‘new’ reiki energy with a high vibration and frequency. Although one form of reiki is not better than another, TriKona Light Reiki™ is unique in that it utilizes an energy alchemy in the heart chakra. I love teaching this form of reiki to students and helping them explore their own intuition and healing gifts. I try to end each session with a divination card pull.
I also see clients for Akashic Records sessions. I am a certified Akashic Records Facilitator through The Akashic Alliance™ which uses the Akashic Records Integration Process to connect individuals to Universal Energy and the Akashic Records. The Akashic Records are so much more than a list of past lives! They can offer guidance, direct healing, and provide an expanded perspective.
I lead private small group / public retreats and host events (such as cacao ceremony) to help people connect to their hearts and remember the magic in life!
In the summer of 2023, I completed my memoir, which details my experience of losing my husband to suicide in 2018, healing through grief, and ultimately, finding my true voice. Right now, I am in the process of finding a publisher.
I love everything I do, yet I am most proud of the work that I do with clients. I love supporting people to follow their dreams and to trust their own intuition. I believe energy work is much more than reiki or hands on touch – energy goes into everything we do – from artists to writers to cooks. Each person holds a special energy and vibration that goes out into the world. Some call me a Soul Whisperer because one of my greatest joys is helping people connect in with their soul and discover their own path.
In January 2024, I am starting a new endeavor and offering channeled art pieces to clients. These will be distinctive to each client and provide a message / activation from their soul.
Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
I think what is most helpful in any field, is not being afraid to do things differently. Often I would try to keep myself in a box or say ‘Oh, I can’t do that’ rather than listening to my own inner knowing.
Things really began to expand once I gave myself permission to do things differently… and it’s much more fun! Training and knowledge can provide a foundation and yet I think it’s helpful to learn to lean in and not being afraid to do it differently.
People often fail to see true inspiration when it’s layered in self doubt.
If you could go back, would you choose the same profession, specialty, etc.?
Yes. I see where all of the things that I was interested in and experienced (both professionally and personally) shaped me into the person I am today.
I try to remember to ‘trust the breadcrumbs’ which I consider those small things that catch my attention. Things that light me up and interest me. I try to follow – even if I don’t understand the ‘why’ or how it is going to play out. Those are often the things the become beautifully interwoven into my work now that I couldn’t have seen beforehand.
