We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Gina King. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Gina below.
Gina, appreciate you joining us today. Often outsiders look at a successful business and think it became a success overnight. Even media and especially movies love to gloss over nitty, gritty details that went into that middle phase of your business – after you started but before you got to where you are today. In our experience, overnight success is usually the result of years of hard work laying the foundation for success, but unfortunately, it’s exactly this part of the story that most of the media ignores. Can you talk to us about your scaling up story – what are some of the nitty, gritty details folks should know about?
When you hear the word scaling up, most people get scared or super excited. I was both. How am I going to scale up and still handle my business and work full time? Will I be able to handle this? How do I even start or where do I start?
Like most entrepreneurs my life is about building my empire.
I always knew I wanted to scale up and felt like I needed that extra piece but didn’t know how to do it.
What did I do? I invested in myself. I found a online course by The Product Boss and joined their programs. Wow, what a difference it made and really gave me the tools to grow my product based business. I was able to learn what other people did in their business and try to implement in my own.
When I knew that time came when I needed to start mass producing, because I couldn’t handle it on my own, that’s when I knew it was time to scale up. From there I tried to expand on my best Sellers to grow my company.
I believe the critical part of building your journey is you really need to put aside the “I can’t do this” and get rid of the doubts. Yes, there is going to be obstacles, there will be No ‘s. But I didn’t let the negatives bring me down, because I knew there was something in my product.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

How did you build your audience on social media?
I feel like I always struggle on building my social media audience. I’d love to have a million followers and working towards that. But this is how I started to build my audience.
1. Any shows I went to I had a sign up list for my email list.
2. I share all my socials in the email list.
3. I constantly share my posts to groups using my business page
4. When I get a like, I invite that person to my business page on Facebook.
4. I try to comment using my business page on posts.
4. I use hashtags.
5. Offer contests and have people like my page and invite friends.
6. I try to keep up with trends on what Instagram, Facebook or Tik Tok wants to put out. Reels, Carousals
7. I also look at analytics to find times to post.
8. I boost posts and use advertising.
It truly is a never ending cycle.
