We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Gina Casazza. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Gina below.
Alright, Gina thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
Our mission at Omnia is to help people elevate their lives. This mission isn’t just a slogan for us; it’s a deeply ingrained ethos that we believe in and that shapes every aspect of our business.
As a 33-year-old single woman, I understand the challenges of juggling multiple roles and responsibilities. I’ve experienced the pressure of a fast-paced lifestyle and the struggle of trying to stay balanced and centered amidst the noise and demands of modern life. I’ve been there, feeling overwhelmed, stressed, and at times, lost.
That’s why the mission to help others elevate their lives resonates so powerfully with me. I understand the transformative power of shifting our thoughts, feelings, and actions. I’ve seen firsthand how small changes can create a ripple effect that benefits not just the individual but everyone around them.
That’s where our Omnia bracelets come in. They’re more than just a piece of jewelry; they’re a tool designed to help people shift out of negative emotions quickly and easily. Our Elevate web application works in tandem with the bracelets, providing a comprehensive toolkit to empower individuals no matter if they have just 5 minutes or 5 hours.
At Omnia, we believe that when you elevate your life, you elevate everyone around you. This isn’t just a business to me; it’s a mission that I’m deeply passionate about. We’re not just selling products; we’re providing tools for personal transformation and empowerment. We believe in the power of individual growth and the collective impact it can have. That’s what drives us every day.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
As the founder and CEO of Omnia, my journey into this industry is deeply rooted in personal transformation and the belief in the power of inner work.
My twenties were challenging. I faced numerous hardships, including the loss of hearing in my left ear when I was 21. I found myself in toxic work environments and unhealthy relationships, struggling with anxiety, and financial difficulties. There were countless times when tears were my only solace. But amidst this turmoil, I began a journey inward. I started focusing on my mental and emotional wellbeing, and gradually, my external world began to change. The toxicity in my life started to dissipate, replaced by healthier relationships and better job opportunities. My anxiety faded, and I found myself smiling more often. Financial stability followed.
This transformative journey ignited a passion within me. I’ve always loved crystals and the energy they’re said to harbor. But I wanted to create something more tangible, a tool that could genuinely help people shift their energy and elevate their lives. So, I combined my love for crystals with the lessons I learned from my personal journey to create Omnia.
Our core offering is a crystal bracelet that doesn’t just claim to change energy but is designed to do so actively. It connects to our web application, Elevate, which provides a comprehensive toolkit of motivational tips, custom sound meditations, breathing exercises, exercises around the bracelet themes: calm, joy, love and inspired, and printable journals—all tools I’ve personally used and found effective. The bracelet serves as a tangible reminder to use these tools, to shift out of negative emotions, and to strive for calm and balance. You can access Elevate from anywhere; the bracelet is just a cool, additional feature that reinforces the connection.
What sets Omnia apart is that it’s not just a product; it’s an extension of my own transformation journey. The content I create is born out of my own experiences and the tools that have helped me. I use them daily, and they’ve had such a profound impact on my life that it felt selfish not to share them.
I’m incredibly proud of Omnia. I’ve been told that creating such a product wouldn’t be possible, that I wouldn’t be able to learn to code, and faced countless other doubts and naysayers. But the creation of this company, this product, has been a testament to breaking those barriers. It’s a symbol of what we can achieve when we refuse to stop working on ourselves, when we’re committed to growth, learning, and daily elevation.
I am my brand. I resonate with the idea that everyone wants to change the world, but few are willing to change themselves. But when we focus on our own growth, our world changes. That’s the mission of Omnia—to provide tools that empower individuals to shift their energy, to elevate their lives, and ultimately, to elevate the world around them.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
one of the most defining moments of my journey with the company was when I decided to learn coding to create our web application, Elevate.
In the initial stages of Omnia, I hired a coder to build Elevate. Unfortunately, things didn’t pan out as expected. The web application was riddled with bugs, slow, and built on a platform I wasn’t familiar with—WordPress. Every issue required additional funds to fix, and the backend was virtually inaccessible for me. I had invested a significant amount of money, only to end up with a subpar product that I couldn’t even manage on my own.
Faced with this challenge, I had a choice. I could either abandon the project or find another way. I chose the latter, deciding to learn coding myself. At the time, I was out of funds to hire another coder, but I was far from being out of determination and resilience.
I shut down the site temporarily and embarked on a three-month learning journey. I poured hours into watching YouTube tutorials, hired a tutor for weekly sessions, and even used ChatGPT to assist me in understanding the nuances of coding. Juggling these learning commitments with my responsibilities as a children’s author, my work in the film industry, a significant move, and my personal life was a Herculean task.
Learning to code was no walk in the park. It was complicated, frustrating, and often seemed like an insurmountable challenge. But the harder it got, the more determined I became. I set a four-month deadline to create the application and worked relentlessly to meet it.
In the end, the efforts paid off. I, a beginner coder, managed to build Elevate from scratch. Each time I log into the application, I’m filled with a sense of pride. It’s a testament to my resilience and the belief that we can learn anything if we’re willing to push through the hard times.
Today, I continue to improve my coding skills. I want to become an expert, able to fix any issues that may arise in the future. I look back at the initial failed attempt not with bitterness, but with gratitude. If it hadn’t been for that experience, I wouldn’t have learned this valuable skill. I wouldn’t have been able to create the tool that’s now central to Omnia’s mission.
This experience stands as a testament to my resilience and determination. I believe it’s a defining part of my story and Omnia’s journey, a testament to the power of perseverance and the belief that obstacles are opportunities in disguise.
Have you ever had to pivot?
I’ve had to make significant pivots in my career, one of the most notable ones being the transition from my previous business, I M Bracelets, to my current venture, Omnia.
I M Bracelets was a venture that resonated deeply with my love for crystal jewelry and my belief in its power to influence emotions. The business centered around selling aromatherapy crystal bracelets, each associated with a positive emotion—calm, joy, love, inspiration, abundance, confidence, intuition, grounding. Each bracelet came with an essential oil blend, a selenite wand, and an affirmation card. The idea was to engage four of the five senses so that every time the wearer saw, touched, or smelled their bracelet, they would mentally recite their affirmation—for example, “I am calm” or “I am love.”
This concept was born out of a desire to create a tangible tool that people could use to remind themselves to embody these positive emotions. I believed in the power of sensory triggers and positive affirmations in shaping our emotions and overall mental state.
However, my brother suggested a game-changing idea. What if we could integrate a charm into the bracelets that could genuinely help people shift into the desired emotion? This idea sparked a whole new vision for me and marked the beginning of a significant pivot.
Transitioning from I M Bracelets to Omnia was a gradual process. It wasn’t just about rebranding or launching a new product; it was about taking the original concept to a whole new level. We maintained the essence of engaging the senses and promoting positive emotions but added a layer of active engagement through the Elevate web application.
This pivot required careful planning, a deep understanding of our customers’ needs, and a willingness to take risks. It was a leap of faith, but one that I believed would allow us to serve our customers better and make a more significant impact. The transition was smooth because the new concept aligned with my personal experiences and beliefs, and the essence of what I M Bracelets aimed to achieve—helping people elevate their lives through sensory experiences and positive affirmations.
The journey from I M Bracelets to Omnia is a testament to the importance of being open to new ideas, embracing change, and always striving for innovation. It showcases the power of pivot in business and in life. And it serves as a reminder that sometimes, the best way forward is not a straight line, but a turn in a new direction.
