Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Gina Cade. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Gina, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s start with something countless entrepreneurs have had to figure out on the fly – how have you dealt with the rise of remote work?
Remote work has become increasingly popular in recent years, allowing employees to work from the comfort of their own homes or any location of their choice. The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated this trend, as businesses have had to quickly adapt to remote work arrangements to ensure business survival and employee safety. Trinity has been around for a while now, and being able to work remotely is a benefit to us most of the time. The pitfall is when I prefer to have everyone in a room working on a project together. It is those large projects that would run smoothly if everyone could speak up at one time, make adjustments together, or hear the opinions of others if we were sitting across from each other. However, Zoom and MeetUp work wonders for us during those times. We don’t miss a thing, besides physically looking eyeball to eyeball, reaching out and touching the actual book covers, or holding a potential design in our hands that the team has come up with.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I have been married for 35 years to Byron, and we have two adult sons. I have been a writer for most of my life and a publisher for the past seven years. I help writers become authors by coaching them in writing their books and assisting many by publishing their journals, planners, books, and other written works. My goal is to guide writers through the entire process, from brainstorming ideas to editing and finalizing their manuscripts.
How I assist others:
The company, Trinity Writing and Publishing, began as I set out to have my first book published, and I didn’t receive the services I desired for my book, so I went out on a hunt. Others then asked me to help them publish their books. Since then, Trinity Writing and Publishing has grown into a successful business, offering a range of services such as editing, formatting, graphics, marketing, and websites for our authors. I have a passion for storytelling and a commitment to helping others achieve their publishing dreams. I take pride in the quality and professionalism that our company provides.
We assist our clients in getting their manuscripts written in hopes of turning them into books. A person might come to us with only an idea. Another might have notes of what they want, so we turn their notes into a manuscript by either asking a host of questions to fill in the blanks or by proceeding with what has been provided. Our team of experienced writers and editors works closely with each client to ensure their vision is captured and translated into a well-crafted manuscript. Additionally, we offer comprehensive publishing services, guiding our clients through the entire process, from editing to formatting the interior pages to designing the cover to ultimately transforming their manuscripts into professionally published books. We offer the ‘Next Steps’ of working with each client to write a well-written bio, dedication, and acknowledgment, as well as helping them write out the perfect book dialogue that explains the book.
I realized that there was a lack of comprehensive writing and publishing services available to authors. This inspired me to start Trinity Writing and Publishing, with the aim of providing a one-stop solution for all aspects of writing and book publishing. Over the years, we have successfully helped numerous authors navigate the complex world of writing their manuscripts and publishing their books. Within the scene of writing, it can include from inception, where we assist with coming up with the right ideas and developing the solid outline for writing, and even content when it comes to writing captivating content for nonfiction as well as fiction. I noticed that if the publishing company didn’t push it, the books would not be marketed.
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
As we navigate the competitive landscape of the publishing industry, fostering brand loyalty is crucial for the sustained growth and success of Trinity Writing and Publishing. There are key strategies that will resonate with our audience and solidify their loyalty to our brand.
A few things Trinity does are create tailored content and engage through social media by building a community around our brand by actively engaging with readers on social media platforms. Respond to comments and share behind-the-scenes content.
Trinity is rewarding loyalty for our returning clients that have returned in 2024. We have implemented a loyalty program that rewards repeat customers with discounts of up to $250, depending on the package chosen. Recognition of loyal customers is to feature reviews of their books on our platforms, making them feel appreciated and part of our community.
Trinity offers exclusive experiences with our family of authors. In July 2023, we had an amazing turnout for a group photo shoot. We have an upcoming group book signing for our family of Trinity authors on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the downtown Dallas public library, and we look forward to hosting a holiday luncheon and awards ceremony later in the year.
By implementing each of these strategies, we aim to create a more loyal client base. We want Trinity Writing and Publishing to be synonymous with community, quality, and success. We believe that by providing unique experiences and opportunities for our authors, we can foster a sense of belonging and pride within our Trinity family. Our goal is to not only publish exceptional books but also to cultivate a supportive and thriving community where authors can thrive, and readers can discover new literary treasures. With each event and gathering, we hope to strengthen the bond between Trinity and its members, ultimately establishing ourselves as a trusted and respected name in the publishing industry..
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
There were times when I began publishing that I didn’t have a team to assist me with anything I did, so I outsourced work to get it done, like editing and graphics. When I accepted work, I wanted it to be done efficiently and professionally. Even seven years ago, I believed that collaborating with experts in their respective fields not only enhanced the quality of my work but also allowed me to focus on other aspects of my projects. Outsourcing certain tasks enabled me to meet tight deadlines and deliver timely results to those who were relying on me to get the job done. Although I wasn’t a skilled editor, I needed to have the work edited, and because I don’t do graphics work, I didn’t have the ability to create visually appealing designs. By outsourcing these tasks to professionals, I was able to ensure that their finished product was polished and visually engaging, ultimately enhancing its overall impact. By collaborating with experts, allowed me to tap into their specialized knowledge and skills, resulting in a more comprehensive and well-rounded final product for my clients. I couldn’t give up because I didn’t specialize in either of the two, but I knew how to get it done. Going through my initial ordeal, which led me to do this work, caused me to search out the best help for each of my projects that was coming my way. If I had given up then, I doubt that I would be where I am today. I persevered through it and sought out help when I accepted other publishing jobs.
