We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Gigi Wilborn a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Gigi, appreciate you joining us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
My creative journey is actually quite complicated and has been the furthest thing from smooth. For the last twenty years I have been an Emergency Room nurse by trade and a reinvigorated visual artist by passion for four. In 2018, I became the founder and sole artist at GW Harper Designs. In 2021, I opened Essential Wellness 360, an IV Vitamin Hydration company that initially started off as a mobile business but has since transitioned to a brick and mortar location in the heart of the Serenbe community in Chatt Hills, Georgia. While one business deals with creating visual art, the other also speaks to my creative side merging both my trade and my passion.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Essential Wellness 360 is an Atlanta based service for IV Vitamin Hydration. It is a full service wellness approach that initially focuses on the cellular level. We are only as healthy as our gut therefore, IV Hydration rather than oral hydration alone is an excellent way for our bodies to absorb all of the vital nutrients needed to maintain a healthy body and immune system. We specialize in curating spa like experiences while you infuse and creating custom IV drips to suit each client’s individual needs. We offer spa music, diffused DoTerra Essential Oils, Shiatsu Foot Massage, Neck Pillow/Seat Massage. We proudly infuse clients who are COVID-19 positive to give their bodies the fighting chance needed to recover.
We currently provide both mobile and boutique services to the Metro Atlanta and surrounding areas. We have just recently opened our new IV Hydration Boutique located in the heart of the Serenbe community thirty minutes south of Atlanta.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
When COVID-19 hit in March of 2020 exhibitions and art shows abruptly came to a screeching halt and it forced me to quickly pivot and think outside of the box. During that same time, my family and I made the decision to move to a small community called Serenbe, thirty minutes south of Atlanta. It was in Serenbe where my focus shifted towards wellness and thus my IV Hydration company was born. Currently I am in the process of rapidly expanding my IV Vitamin Hydration business to eventually incorporate a service where clients can receive IV therapy while simultaneously participating in a paint party, a merger of the two things I love.

Have you ever had to pivot?
It definitely has not been a smooth road and I honestly do not think I would feel as accomplished if it had been. When COVID-19 struck I was forced to return to the front lines of the Emergency Room since displaying and selling my artwork had to be placed on hold indefinitely. It was there, amongst the uncertainty and suffering where I started to feel my own mortality. How could I give my body a fighting chance against COVID-19? How could I then turn around and do that same thing for others so that they would not have to visit an overcrowded Emergency Room? That’s when a dear neighbor approached me and shared her story. She told me of the IV Vitamin infusions she would receive in Atlanta but was now unable to receive due to COVID-19. She wanted to know if this was a service I could possibly bring to our community. After an entire year of research I was finally able to launch the mobile version of Essential Wellness 360 in April of 2021.
