We were lucky to catch up with Gigi Pace recently and have shared our conversation below.

Gigi, appreciate you joining us today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?

In 2017 I heard that small voice of God whisper in my ear, “Work for me.” I immediately thought, “of course, I work for you. I acknowledge you in my activities and work and give you the glory.” I had no idea what that small whisper would become!

I had worn many administrative hats during my corporate career and most recently as an HR Leader, so I began an HR Consulting business with God as my CEO. Within a few years, I was introduced to an opportunity to obtain a Biblical Counseling Certification. I felt very strongly that this was something I was called to do, so I began the process. Shortly after diving into the studies, I realized that if I were going to get the full impact of what this meant for my life, I would need to devote my full attention to growing my faith. I thought I understood what I believed and why but I discovered my faith roots were shallow. The more I learned, the more questions I had about my faith. It was time to take a risk and a huge leap of faith! I resigned from my corporate HR Consulting position to take a sabbatical.

As I completed the counseling certification, I felt called to gain a coaching certification and begin a Christian Coaching practice. I had the overwhelming thought that we are all created to soar. We are beautifully made with a unique purpose to impact those in our little corner of the Kingdom; I was passionate about equipping individuals to rediscover their peace in this crazy hectic world and live in their purpose. So began, Created to Soar Coaching & Consulting!

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I am a Christian Life Coach passionate about equipping women with tools to apply their faith to real life to live in peace and soar in their God-given potential.

For many years, I didn’t know what I truly stood for; I went along with cultural norms and let others’ opinions of me determine my value. I let life’s circumstances determine my future and allowed my thoughts to control me…rather than controlling them. I was not living who I was created to be and was unclear about my purpose.

The more I studied God’s Word and discovered what He said about me, the easier it was to let go of things holding me back, like judgment, bitterness, insecurity, and self-doubt. I was free to soar in who I was created to be. I discovered I didn’t have to be good enough, educated enough, or strong enough to do it on my own. I could partner with God and trust His plan for my life! I realized there are so many women like me living life, even as believers, without fully taking advantage of their faith when things get complicated. When faced with a challenge, we tend to put God on the shelf (or leave him on the nightstand).

I love listening to women, learning their stories, and helping them discover freedom in their identity in Christ.
I work with women feeling overwhelmed, insecure, or wanting to make a more significant impact in their family, community, or career.

I offer one-on-one coaching, a digital course that can be completed as a self-study or group study, a free Facebook community, live local networking and education events, and a monthly membership for those wanting to grow in Christ-centered leadership.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

We’ve all heard the quote, “ignorance is bliss,” and that certainly rings true for my journey in creating my digital coaching course. Like most solopreneurs, I probably have more passion than ability, but I’m so glad I haven’t let that stop me.

As I completed my counseling and coaching certifications, I felt a strong calling to create a digital coaching program that incorporated the heart, identity, and mind because true peace and purpose rely on all three. I had no idea what it would take to create and launch a course. I only knew it would change lives. I have a gift for communicating what some have made complicated in a simple and approachable way. (After all, I was an HR leader in a distribution center for 10+ years)

I began documenting all my notes in Excel to keep them organized by tab. Then I created a Powe Point presentation to communicate the principles in bullet points. Then I had to learn how to add my voiceover to the presentation. Then I had to research a platform to house my course. Then I had to create the design for the course. Then I wanted to add tools (I love worksheets), so I created at least two tools per lesson, etc., etc., until it was complete!

I discovered no one would know about the course until I created sales pages, sales funnels, and email sequences to bring potential clients to and through the course. Another learning curve and a few more months!

But, by the grace of God (talk about Spiritual growth), I am happy to say I have an active digital course available on the web. And, I facilitate a 4-week group study every other month. The course is called: ReDiscover Your Peace & Purpose in H.I.M. (Revive your Heart, Reclaim your Identity, Renew your Mind)

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

What you see is what you get. I am blessed with a passion for loving others for God. I’m authentic and genuinely want to know you as a friend, even if we’ve just met. I am not perfect, not particularly articulate, and not overly confident until I get started. I wear my heart on my sleeve and will be the best prayer warrior you’ve got.

I host a few Facebook groups for encouragement and support. I engage in other groups, sharing my love, excitement, and support for members within the group.

I’ll meet you for coffee and want to know everything about your family, your goals, and your struggles. I’ll even come to your kid’s softball game or musical performance.
