We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Gianna Silvaggio a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Gianna, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Was there an experience or lesson you learned at a previous job that’s benefited your career afterwards?
Starting as a publicist for major hospitality brands on the Las Vegas Strip and beyond and now as a REALTOR®, I’ve seen firsthand that true quality isn’t about price—it’s about making people feel valued. From coordinating high-profile events to helping clients find their perfect homes, I’ve built my approach on listening, detail, and trust.
In public relations, I managed top-tier clients where every interaction had to be seamless and memorable. This commitment now drives my work in real estate. I bring a level of care and attentiveness to each transaction, whether working with first-time home buyers or seasoned investors, ensuring they feel fully supported.
As a third-generation REALTOR®, continuing my family’s legacy of trust and excellence is incredibly meaningful. Blending what I’ve learned from both careers, I focus on building relationships that last, making each experience as smooth and rewarding as possible.

Gianna, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My journey in real estate is deeply connected to my family’s legacy, which began with my late grandmother, Idabelle Silvaggio. She was a well-known figure in Las Vegas real estate, managing and owning multiple offices while winning numerous awards. Her dedication to excellence set the foundation for our family’s business, and today, my mom, Valorie, and I are proud to continue that legacy through The Silvaggio Group.
Working alongside my mom has been incredibly meaningful. She brings traditional expertise from decades of experience, having learned directly from my grandmother. She knows the importance of building strong, lasting relationships with clients. On the other hand, I bring a modern, strategic approach, shaped by my background in public relations working with high-profile clients and executives in hospitality, entertainment and food and beverage. This combination allows us to provide seamless, elevated real estate experiences, merging time-tested methods with today’s innovations.
Together, we’ve created The Silvaggio Group, continuing the same level of service my grandmother did throughout her career. Our team blends tradition and innovation, ensuring that every client feels supported and valued, no matter the size or scope of the transaction.
Carrying forward Idabelle’s legacy along side my mom is one of my greatest honors. We uphold the values she instilled—trust, hard work, and dedication—to ensure that the Silvaggio name remains a cornerstone of trust in Las Vegas real estate for generations to come.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
One of the most pivotal moments in my life came when I made the decision to shift from being a publicist to a REALTOR®. For years, I thrived in the world of public relations. It was an exciting and fast-paced environment that allowed me to work with some incredible people and develop my skills in client management and strategic communication. But as fulfilling as it was, I began to feel a pull toward something more personal and grounded.
Real estate had always been part of my life—my grandmother, Idabelle, and my mom, Valorie, were both deeply rooted in the Las Vegas real estate community. It was through watching them that I began to realize I wanted to build something more lasting, something that allowed me to form deeper connections with people. The thought of helping individuals and families make one of the biggest decisions of their lives really resonated with me in a way that public relations didn’t.
The pivot wasn’t just about switching careers—it was about finding a way to blend my strengths with my family’s legacy. My time as a publicist had taught me the importance of anticipating client needs, being detail-oriented, and staying calm under pressure. These skills turned out to be invaluable in real estate, whether negotiating deals or guiding clients through the complexities of buying or selling a home. What started as a major career shift turned into an opportunity to bring a fresh perspective to my family’s business, while still staying true to the core principles that had made them successful.
In many ways, making this pivot allowed me to connect with my roots and continue a legacy, but in a way that was authentically mine. It wasn’t about leaving behind what I’d built as a publicist; it was about evolving, taking those experiences, and applying them to something even more personal and meaningful. Today, I feel like I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be, blending my family’s history with my own vision for the future.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
When I think about reputation, I see it as something that’s always evolving. It’s not just something you build once and then leave behind—it’s something you continue to cultivate throughout your career. Ultimately, I believe a strong reputation is built on consistency: delivering results, treating clients with respect, and staying true to your values. I’m still building my reputation every day, keeping my personal touch so clients always remember the level of care they received—the same service I would want and expect for myself. When you follow your heart in your work, you bring out the best in yourself, and that’s where true success lies.
