We were lucky to catch up with Ghoust Jones recently and have shared our conversation below.

Ghoust, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?

The name of my company is “Ghoust World”, I chose this name because it was the best way to encompass all that I do and will do moving forward. I often flow in and out of many different mediums and forms of creativity and that makes me a true artist. All that I do exists in this world, the Ghoust World.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I’ve always found a way to creatively express myself since I was a child. This is what comes most naturally and is the most therapeutic. I often get hyper fixated on one realm of art or creation and it really becomes my new “thing” to say the least. My world or talents consist of graphic design, creative direction, special effects makeup and styling. I just simply love to create. What makes Ghoust World so different is that, I have a never ending source of references because I constantly educate myself on pop culture, religion, and history. There is almost nothing that I’m not willing to learn or know about. Having an open mind is very crucial to creativity. I do everything I can to make sure that I mesh all of these worlds together to create harmony in my creative space.

Alright – so here’s a fun one. What do you think about NFTs?

Honestly, it doesn’t seem like it’s something that I’d invest too much in. It’s essentially bitcoin but in art form. Which is good for the artist yes, but the investor, no. Eventually we will move on or regress back to tangible art. It’s the only way.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

I love the finished product. Being able to look at something, good or bad, and say “This did not exist before I created it.” Is a damn good feeling, it’s the closest we will get to playing God. I love it.
