Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Gerley Julien . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Gerley , thanks for joining us today. Who is your hero and why? What lessons have you learned from them and how have they influenced your journey?

The person who is my hero is my Mother Gerta. I have learn many life lessons from my mother. After losing my mother the way I did and things I went through her voice and those lessons were more clear.

Gerley , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I started Dream Far Foundation back in 2013 which focus on youths dream and goals. Foundation was created and dedicated to my Mother Gerta (R.I.P), Daughter Ka’mya and Little Sister Katiana(R.I.P). I had the opportunity to present Dream Far Foundation to Broward County that lead into creating a after school program for Pompano Beach Middle School. Not only was the fou dation created for the youths as well for family support..Foundation work with the boys and girls club in Fort Myers, FL and present our etiquette program. Summer youth programs and can’t leave out our dance programs step team, lyrical dance(praise dance) and Hip Hop dance team.

Spent couple of years trying to figure out how to expand Dream Far Foundation but still keep it in the same mission. 2022 Open up a day care facility inside of Dream Far Foundation building in Fort Myers, FL.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

When I was younger my mom use to tell me pain is something that can make you just have to figure out how to take something painful to learn a lesson to make you better.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?

The lesson I had to learn is whatever God’s plan for you it will happen. I had many moments where I just didn’t know but I want to say a major thank you to my son’s God mother Carla St. Surin who always reminds me to think about my mom and so much more. I wanted so much with Dream Far Foundation even when it was time to get the building no one stood by me like she did.
