We were lucky to catch up with Gerkys Triana recently and have shared our conversation below.

Gerkys, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today How did you come up with the idea for your business?

I have been struggling with some health pathologies for many years. I didn’t know these problems were so serious until they started getting out of control after I got COVID twice. The principal cause, the way I used to eat. I decided to radically change my bad eating habits. I am improving my health by being more aware of how I eat and through nurturing myself, I am achieving healthier skin and a stronger body and mind. It has been a challenge to dedicate time to prepare meals that really support the nutrients my body needs to get through the day. This challenge led me to discover my passion, which is creating healthy plant-based formulas that may support a nutritive diet to boost people’s health. My purpose is to help people who want to change the “I’m on a diet” mindset to “It’s my lifestyle!”  by eating healthy and incorporating organic superfood supplements with their meals.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

My name is Gerkys Triana,  I am the owner of Lifeful Organica, I am also an Architectural Designer and Real Estate Agent. I was born and raised in Venezuela and came to the U.S in 2003. I earned a Technical College Degree in Tourism in Venezuela. I also earned a Bachelor degree in Architecture from Florida Atlantic University, and a Masters of Science in Construction Management from Florida International University. I recently started Lifeful Organica, my new passion. My mission is to bring to my customers the best organic products that are all chemical-free, toxin-free, vegan, pure and natural; helping protect the environment, pet and human health, by living and supporting a clean, organic lifestyle. I am working on creating the Lifeful Organica line of organic superfood products with plant-based ingredients to support people’s health. The formulas include the natural ingredients I have been using to cure my pathologies and regenerate my genes. The organic superfood products are nutritionally dense, containing lots of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants  to power-pack one’s  meals and snacks, and further enhance a healthy eating pattern. Superfoods can be a powerful tool to create positive change in the body and support overall well-being.

Can you talk to us about manufacturing? How’d you figure it all out? We’d love to hear the story.

I did not know anything about organic superfood formula creations when I started with my idea, but my passion for helping others and the business skills I have developed led me to manufacturers that walked me through the process and helped me to develop the unique product of the natural ingredients I had in mind. It has been really interesting to work with a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) which specializes in organic natural supplementation, where I have learned about the importance of ingredient combinations to enhance a healthy diet.  I carefully chose one of the best U.S. organic product manufacturers that uses  100% all natural and fresh ingredients, that are non-toxic and organically sourced, as well as certified organic products that are made, owned, and operated in the United States of America.

How’d you think through whether to sell directly on your own site or through a platform like Amazon, Etsy, Cratejoy, etc.

Lifeful Organica uses an online store, Facebook store, Instagram store, and Amazon platform which give the opportunity to reach more customers and sell more products. Selling on Amazon does give automatic credibility as a seller. However, when someone buys a Lifeful Organica item on Amazon, it is frequent to hear, “I bought it on Amazon ”. If they bought the item directly from the website, Facebook or Instagram store, Lifeful Organica is more likely to be brought into the conversation.
