We recently connected with Geri Del Vento and have shared our conversation below.
Geri , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to start by getting your thoughts on what you are seeing as some the biggest trends emerging in your industry.
As well know, back in 2020 we were all shocked with the news of a global pandemic happening. It was something unexpected and scary for everyone who was conscious of it. This led to loss, uncertainty, and for many — work from home. A term that became so used in every industry, that people began to idealize comfortable spaces in their home to work from. This really revolutionized the idea of a home — it became a place of refuge, comfort, play, and work. People began to build out their own projects to achieve a sense of peace and relief. Now in 2023, I have noticed big trends lean heavily towards home sustainability as well as building/designing an oasis.
These trends have stood out to me greatly! We want to know that our homes make us feel calm and peaceful while minding our materials and being greener designers. It’s important to make a space where you, and your guests, always feel welcomed to walk into and stay at. It is also as equally important to build or design a space with the knowledge of being sustainable and eco-friendly. Are you conserving your resources? Are you optimizing energy and water use, while creating a safe haven for you and your family?
All important questions to ask and keep in mind during the designing of a home. It’s exciting, as an interior designer and life stylist, to keep these trends in mind during each project build out. It’s also exciting to see all the invitations that are being explored and introduced to as all.. because in the end, we all have a design bone in our body.
Geri , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Hi! Geraldine here (or Geri for short). A little bit about me: I was born in Venezuela and raised in Miami, FL. I went to College to be a dance teacher and pursued that dream for many years but God interrupted my plans. A different job opportunity down the road led me to my love for interiors! My love for curating spaces — a passion to make life more beautiful and create vibes everywhere I go — turned into a full-time job and for that I am grateful! Now I am a full time interior designer who is passionate about elevating the spaces that need a little bit of love and detail. Bring me your ideas… or your doubts, and together we will make your wildest dreams come true.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
In the process of assisting people with their interior design projects, I realized the importance of choosing your home’s art work. Through the progress, I’ve understood that choosing art work isn’t an easy task — for this very reason I decided to create my own line of art prints.
I hope to bring a much easier and smoother process for anyone to dress up their walls and chosen spaces with my art prints.
So far, I’ve put together 3 different collections, each with their own twist and of course: the Geri effect ✨.

How did you build your audience on social media?
My story begins back in 2020 — when the pandemic hit. At the time I joined a program offered by TikTok where 1000 creators were hired. This program would give seminars once a week, teaching us different tips and tricks on how to create educational content for social media. At the time my task was to make 5 educational tips per week and simultaneously I was starting up my own company. At the time, my love for interiors began to grow and so began my content in featuring tips on how to elevate different spaces. My platform was originally built to share fashion tips and tricks since I was first a fashion blogger. But once I decided to enter into the entrepreneurial space and start my company, I decided to tailor my work solely on interior design. Since the seminar, I now work as a full time interior designer. However, I sometimes sprinkle in some fashion tips every now and then since it’s still a passion of mine.
