I’m hoping that the Legacy being built by me is one that can be passed down to younger family generations, creating more generational wealth. I’m a studio owner as well as the owner of an Entertainment company and my own Prop business. Owning my masters to my recordings & leaving it all to my family, training my son’s to work in the family business.I think I’ll be remembered for having a insane crazy work ethic loving the arts of entertainment & helping hundred’s of other Artist reach their goal’s & live up to their potential

Born Gerald Jerome Parrish in 1968 to a Single Mother Christine Lane,Gerald Parrish attended Acting School at the young age of 7 years old & Began piano Lessons shortly after playing the flute in Elementary School as well as singing in his Church & School Choir.Recieved the 1995-1996 Who’s Who In Music Award for Achieving Great Music Accomplishments. Genuine Love for Music & Entertainment went on to be involved in music & Drama & Sports in Jr.High & High school in Compton California.growing up in Compton there weren’t a lot of Opportunities so Gerald Turned to using Music & Acting as a way to Express Himself & Escape from the Entrapments Of life in the Hood.Obtaining his First Record Deal With Hollywood’s Eclipse Records in 1986,Signing later to Art Laboe’s Audio Records in 1993,Dropping Singles In 1990 as well. Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

I believe what’s help build my reputation in the business market is persistence & consistency let’s take this year for instance content wise I’ve given my general audience (4) Movies (5) Studio Album’s as well as interviews, live performances ,features & music videos. It is extremely rare that my listener’s or general audience isn’t seeing a new release, rather that be a single Album or Feature as well as New music in most of the film’s. My audience respects my creativity my passion as well as my resolve

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

It was a time when my life & career were basically both in what seemed like slow motion Limbo, thing’s we’re changing faster than most people could keep up, at a time in my life where I was between deal’s no management I found myself with no company contract or backing, made the tough decision to stop shopping my music for deal’s & Meetings & do everything myself Built my first recording studio everything you need for the job from the ground up learned the equipment started recording mixing and mastering my own song’s did my research found an independent distributor but the next road block was getting someone to believe I could do it, fundraising collecting capital for the mission @ hand
After several unsuccessful attempts I found a investor worked out the details & percentages with the producer’s as well as featured Artist and began to produce myself
Within 9 months Time I had digital music for sale online being successful at it with a International audience that’s still growing to this day & CD’s we’re still for sale I was selling on the streets in Best Buy as well as online so I had a several year’s head start on a lot of the Artist today I volunteering went digital before most of the industry was blindsided & forced to
