We recently connected with Georgina Juarez and have shared our conversation below.

Georgina, appreciate you joining us today. What’s the kindest thing anyone has ever done for you?

It has always been in my nature to be of service to others, a therapist might say that is because at a young age when I truly needed help I never received it and had to learn to rely on myself. Others might say it’s genetics as my mother and grandmother have always been and continue to be givers, no matter the little they have, they will always and have always given of their time, food, energy, and their spirit, never saying no, I can’t.. always si como no.

That has been in my life for the most part, giving of my time & energy, opening up my home to those who needed a place to stay, a shoulder for those who needed somewhere to rest their head, an ear for those who needed to be heard and fostering 100’s of puppies until they found their forever home. No recognition needed or wanted just my nature.

You would think being in that space and knowing that I give freely with my heart and spirit,I would be able to ask for that help from others..big resounding NO, NEGATIVE, NOT IT..lol. My go-to was I got this, I can handle it, No thank you, I’ll figure it out…etc. I always have a reason for being able to tackle things on my own, but on the inside feeling overwhelmed, angry, and resentful that I had to (self-inflicted of course).

That is until I just couldn’t anymore, 10 months ago my partner, father to my 2 boys, and love of 28 years unexpectedly passed in his sleep of complications of a heart aneurysm. Tohis left my family completely devastated and in a space where the one person I had learned to lean and depend on was no longer there. Navigating this space of grief of solitude has been a journey to say the least.

And in this space and time, I chose to reach out to my community for help. It was extremely humbling to ask for prayers, love, and support in any way they could. In the months that followed the outpouring of kindness my family received was the most powerful and beautiful thing we as a family could have ever experienced. Strangers and friends alike rallied to support us with their generosity and kindness, their words, flowers, prayers, donations and pure love helped our family in ways that can never be put into words. They gave so much and have helped us heal

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

My name is Georgina Juarez/ Patecatl Cihuatl, I am a curaderismo practitioner with Kalpulli Teocali Ollin, certified coach and owner of Mujer Magic LLC. The reclamation of my medicina and magic really deepened in 2016. I was working in corporate America which i will always be grateful for as it allowed me to purchase my home and support my family,Yet something at the cellular level continued to be missing. There was a call, a stirring, and a deep sense that there was more for me than just sitting at this desk for 8 hours a day. I feel that many of us have experienced that at different points in our lives and have either suppressed it, weren’t sure what to do with it, or sometimes simply thought that it would eventually figure itself out, but I knew this time was different.

As luck would have it I was fired from a job I truly hated. On the ride home, I cried for about 5 minutes thinking what am i going to do, all the money, and adult responsibilities came to mind, yet after I acknowledged that I quickly felt a sense of relief and joy that I no longer had to show up to that place. That was the 1st time in a long time that i truly allowed myself to step into the space of WHAT DOES MY SPIRIT NEED

That experience of listening to my spirit, heart, and body completely changed the way I moved forward in my life and allowed me the connect to myself, the voices of my ancestors & my identity as an indigenous woman who has had her magic & medicina waiting to be rekindled. That is not to say I never had that connection, what I am saying is in that moment I surrendered in a way that I called in, and celebrated, which I now hope to help others reclaim, and reignite in themselves!

I am a weaver of the soul balancing, guiding the reawakening of the ancestors’ beautiful indigenous rituals and healing that assist you in becoming unapologetic for their Magic! Being able to Reclaim and remember the powerful Medicina of your ancestors can help address wounds and traumas that have been passed down in your lineage. So many times we look outside of ourselves, but through the teachings of my elders, Maestra y Maestros the message across the board is we are the healers that we need. Sometimes what that looks like is guidance, community and support

Through my work I offer Limpias ( energetic clearings) classes on creating Altars & veneration to begin your connection with your ancestors, 1:1 Sessions of spiritual Coaching, and a new hybrid program that I have been called to create )which will be available in 2024) that has not been announced anywhere…HIJA SALVAJE, a return to la Tierra!!!

I am truly grateful for the opportunity to hold space for those on their healing journey.

If you could go back, would you choose the same profession, specialty, etc.?

Honestly, I wish I had the courage to trust in myself and my journey sooner! But I do no regret any of the roads and lessons I had to travel to get here, each and every one of those taught me something and afforded me the insight and knowledge to grow. I am able to use all those tools now to continue to help my self and others.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?

I always recommend The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. It was one of those books that inspired outside thinking, spiritual awakening, and the question of what is possible if I trust in myself, my spirit and the magic that awaits me on this journey we call life.
