Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Geoffrey and Marsha Wood. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Geoffrey and Marsha, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Do you have any thoughts about how to create a more inclusive workplace?
When we started this coffee shop back in 2021 who were very determined to create a faith and family community for our area
But we also didn’t want people to feel excluded from that community because they possibly have different belief systems.
So that’s why we call it a coffeehouse, we wanted it to be an extension of peoples homes. Just the way Marsha and I love inviting people in our home even to stay if they don’t have a place. That’s what Hebrews is doing for our community!

Geoffrey and Marsha, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Marsha and I have started in a coffee trailer four years ago on the side of 1488 in Magnolia Texas.
Although we weren’t seeing huge returns on our investment, We were building a brand of the community wanted to support.
Allowing the community to come alongside of us to support that trailer put us in such a different position when we started solely coffee catering!
After multiple years of catering to churches, hospitals and schools were finally in a position to step into our first brick and mortar shop.
This took a lot and we really saw God really blessed that step of faith!
Our brand has always been about hard work and community.
Whatever success we have today I know it’s because we sat in that trailer making very little waiting on God!
Can you open up about a time when you had a really close call with the business?
The scariest thing in business is not to be able to provide for your employees. There’s always a deep down fear that you’re not going to be able to make that payroll.
Typically you have enough money in the bank but you’re still afraid that if something else happens the money you have is not enough.
My wife and I, as small business owners have really learned to trust in God and allow him to be the CEO of our business. And sometimes I have to do this daily.
The more trust I put into him the more provision I see take care of this business better than I ever could!
Small business owners doing this on their own can’t feel like they’re in a very dark place. But our businesses were created to make relationships not money.
Money is the byproduct of those relationships once we do a good job with them!
Can you share one of your favorite marketing or sales stories?
The greatest marketing story we have a HeBrews is when God took a three picture of Facebook post and made it a viral sensation internationally.
Now we are not the ones who invented the Coffeeflight but somehow when we introduced coffee flights to our business people went nuts!
The small three picture post that I had posted in April 2021 shocked our whole company as it took us from six employees to 29 employees in a matter of a month.
Our business increased 4 to 500% and has not stopped being consistent since the post 22.4 million views.
This is the amazing thing about God. It doesn’t take much. He can take one thing and make it a viral sensation and set your business up for success.
